Popular Post jiminlogansquare
This one gets progressively better over the course of the album - in the playing, in the selections, even in the sound quality - so your persistence (or use of skip track button) will be rewarded. The first selection, a boring, transcribed-for-viola Vivaldi bassoon concerto played in a plodding, uninteresting and even sometimes out of tune (to my ears) fashion, might leave you scratching your head why I have recommended this disc at all. So, if that description didn't capture your interest, maybe just skip over the first selection and dive in at the (transcribed for viola) cello cadenza and concerto and listen from there. This is an exciting and artfully performed piece, and things just go straight uphill from there; the rest of the album is great listening. Topk and Musicophile 2 Link to comment

Popular Post AudioDoctor
Followed by this... Semper Femina, which I think is Laura Marlings best album. 24/48 from somewhere, probably Qobuz. Also, developed a hypothesis about what separates good singer songwriter artists from pop schlock written by someone else, to be performed by the pop artist. Realness. Realness of the performance, realness of the emotions involved, etc... dm68, lamode and semente 3 No electron left behind. Link to comment
