  1. Wow. Well, you should share your expertise with his label, Steinway & Sons, since they clearly know nothing about signing pianists.
  2. I agree. It's neither as robotic as I feared nor as expressive as I hoped. Among recent releases, I prefer Konstantin Scherbakov's both for the performance and sound. I see that Pentatone recorded this in PCM rather than their customary DSD format.
  3. DSD128. I have heard slightly more dramatic performances, but I can't think of any that are more beautifully played or recorded.
  4. Rzewski passed away today, so I played this in his honor.
  5. Unattractive cover aside (It's a sculpture from the 18th century), there is some amazing playing on this album, and the sound (24/96k FLAC) is outstanding.
  6. Wonderful playing and sound (DSD64) of piano works by Tveitt, Sinding, Harum, and Grieg. 2L provides some of the best piano sound that I've heard.
