Larry Ho and Gavin Fish deliberately used Indiego as a tool to defraud people by removing any recourse they would have. They even changed from Kickstarter to IndieGogo so buyers couldn't change their minds before the end of the campaign. And constantly added items to each campaign to be certain it meet the small goal. Thus making it impossible for anyone to back out, even a second after they pledged.

I know that sounds snarky, but I'm actually honestly asking: I can't possibly see the benefit to LH or to this forum of you engaging in a petty argument with @Superdad while the elephant still is in the room: he has shipping, functioning products and you/LH do not.

There is nothing good to come from LHL comments any more - no honesty, no commitment to buyers - NO PRODUCT

LHL critique or commentary on anything has no meaning or value until they prove they are a viable entity rather than a deliberate or inadvertent scam

I'm unsure if you're serious or not. I can't grab someone's Audiophile Style screenname, plug it into my backend system, and have the system recognize who this random screenname is and what their orders are. You should know this, since we dealt with your issues via PM and I sent you/helped you get that cable you asked about based on the information you provided me that didn't include your Audiophile Style screenname. 

 

Also, I have no idea why you're being snarky or aggressive towards me in public when you were so nice to me in your PMs. I don't know if you're trying to "fit in" with the crowd here or what.

LHL has thousands of my dollars. I ate up their BS marketing lies. The only positive outcome was learning an expensive lesson - DON'T TRUST ANY CAMPAIGN on INDIEGOGO (and always remember that all marketing and advertising is just an image being sold, not necessarily related to truth).

 

Sure, some campaigns turn out legit, but Indiegogo itself is a legal version of a pyramid scheme. Indiegogo could care less who markets what on their site because they get paid each time any person contributes to any campaign.

 

 Larry and every single person ever associated with LHL marketing, sales, or customer relations seem to lack honesty or integrity.

I don’t know that there is such a thing as “LH Labs” any more, so it’s really more like “public defender of Larry Ho.” And that’s got to be a thankless task, though I would say Jarek was fairly well aware of LHL’s reputation when he agreed to take the position.

It's really down to whether the individual project principals are honorable, competent people.

 

I purchased a home security camera on Amazon that had previously been a Kickstarter project. The camera incorporated network features and a facial recognition AI that was pretty good. Part of the purchase price was lifetime AI updates.  When the market didn't work out (lots more marketing push behind other products without facial recognition) and the company was shutting down, they asked for the equipment back and in return - *after a year of use* - they refunded the full purchase price, because they could no longer deliver what the customers had in part paid for (a continuously updated and improving facial recognition AI).

Jarek, it wasn't my intent to come across snarky or aggressive....I was simply baffled by your request for details from someone who is a Vi DAC contributor and is expecting one to be delivered. It was my understanding that LHLabs should have the order details for every Vi DAC contributor already. Is this understanding incorrect? He wasn't asking for a status update on his particular order (or where he might be in the queue), he was simply asking for it to be delivered. I similarly made such a request.

Once again, not the point. You are getting paid to post these comments here, and your paid role is supposed to be to relay useful information and help LH's customers. This is not a conversation among unpaid peer-members of a community where people owe you explanations or politeness (beyond baseline civility).

 

If you want people to be nicer to you and to stop constantly trying to hold you accountable for the bad behavior of the person/company that is paying you, then post under your personal @stuck limo (or is it @stuck_limo?) username, not your @LHCommSquad one.

 

All of this has been explained to you many times - and it should not even have to be explained to you once. It's quite mystifying that you are conducting yourself in this way. The only rational explanation at this point is that more time spent here = more billables you can submit to LH. Absent a compelling alternative explanation, I would renew my request for @The Computer Audiophile to ban the @LHCommSquad account from this site.

Three or four weeks back there were a couple of updates showing the latest version of the Vi DAC Tube which, except for tubes, appeared to be fully assembled. 

 

Was that a fully working model and if so has production and shipping commenced? If not, can you please advise why there is further delay?

 

Also, I note that the model shown was branded "Light Harmonic". Will those that are shipped to backers be branded "Light Harmonic"? No drama, just curious.

Good questions. Since LH Labs is basically not funded at this point by crowdfunding, any remaining LH Labs product will probably be shipped as Light Harmonic products/branding. It may vary by model/unit/campaign, but that's essentially the plan at this point. Yes, the model is a fully working unit which should theoretically be finished early next week. Tests will be done on these early models, and then the rest of the units will be produced and shipped.
