Popular Post Sonicularity
I'm often wrong and quick-tempered. I am typically irrational and oftentimes make hasty judgments based on nothing more than my emotional state at that particular time. If I'm not inebriated, I'm working toward it and will be there shortly. I hate everyone and trust nobody. Ok? Glad to get that off my chest. Now, back to the entertainment. 89reksal, crenca and Ralf11 1 2 Link to comment

Those who say everything matters, and we don't know how hearing works. Or those who quite often decide not only do some things not matter, but you are being hysterical to keep acting as if it does with no working hypothesis to test. We used to have someone from JRiver that felt the need to jump into threads and spout his mantra of the impossibility of software having any effect on audio playback in an otherwise properly working setup. I see a similar fate looming in the future for a lot of posters on this site. I hope you'll all have the decency to slink off quietly just as he did. Teresa and crenca 1 1 Link to comment

For that, I want to personally thank the busybody Civility crowd, with a special shout out to @Paul R. Even though I have you guys on ignore, you elicited enough outrageous quotes to make it truly enjoyable. You also displayed real skill in insulting those whom you despise, but never quite crossing the line into "go f&^k your mother" territory. Later in the evening I will be raising my glass to you!! 🍻 AudioDoctor, Shadders and opus101 3 Hey MQA, if it is not all $voodoo$, show us the math! Link to comment

Popular Post Dutch
Spot on! 😁 From: https://audiobacon.net/2019/04/05/sotm-snh-10g-audiophile-ethernet-switch-review/amp/ Quote Measurement Morons I believe our preconceptions can be (and should be) challenged. It’s what breeds progression and makes us human. We’re not omniscient and there’s still a lot to learn. Digital audio has gone a long, long way just in the past decade. There’s a difference between someone who says “I don’t hear a difference. Thus it makes no difference.” and “There can’t be a difference (gives a scientific reason). Your mind is playing tricks on you.” Be wary about those who say the latter. They’re usually #measurement_morons. It’s interesting how some of these other engineers (and their minions) denounce what audiophiles are hearing as placebo and hallucinations. They also demand double-blind and null tests for everything. Do they really think intelligent people who are able to afford this gear – would drop lots of cash for something they don’t really hear? Time to get off that high horse, homie. 100% of these Measurement Morons aren’t even real audiophiles. Yeah, I said it. If you were an experienced audiophile, you would already know that higher quality digital cables could help improve the sound of a system. As discussed, they just have a different personality. They’re usually (not always) the close-minded, introverted, dismissive, cynical types, who treat their textbooks as gospel. Ironically, they want to spread “the truth” but are actually misleading the masses. I have no clue what their purpose is in this space – but I’m positive they have too much time on their hands. lmitche, One and a half and Teresa 2 1 System details Link to comment
