bobbmd
@AudioDoctor love it it’s ‘just the amp’ I run the 2 changers via RCAs through it as well as the meridian DAC—the Yggy GS is far superior DAC though and my TV is via optical out through the Yggy—sound is for everything is to die for by the Legacy speakers ie separation bass etc in my strange living room dimensions— what makes it also so cool for me are the pictures eh? Racerxnet
Very nice from all and gives me motivation to complete my new room even quicker. It's moving along as fast as I can carry the 5/8ths sheetrock upstairs, and hang the 2 layers on the studs. Lots of ideas from all the pictures. Keep them coming. Cabinets ordered, mini fridge picked out, as well as the crown molding and other items to complete the build. MAK brad225 1 Link to comment

Popular Post PYP
The previous GIK quadratic diffusers started to come apart (damn cheap, factory-installed sawtooth hangers screwed into MDF), so I removed them before they came crashing down on my gear. Suddenly, the sound was more alive and lively, which I liked. My gear has changed since I hung the diffusers years ago and the difference was quite apparent (the Grimm and Shunyata, new additions, are hidden in the cabinet). I enjoy a listening room that is also a place where I can also read and relax without music. And a place that I can share music with my wife. With an open architecture, the system can be enjoyed from other rooms, which always lead to interesting perspectives on the setup. My wife says the best sound is in the family room, which is on the other side of the back wall (which is open at the top). It is true that there is less detail at that location, but all the room reflections are resolved. That inspired me to try to use absorber/diffuser panels to achieve similar results. Still listening, but preliminary results are that it is getting closer. In the meantime, emotional connection to the music is easily achieved with a wide variety of music served via Roon/Qobuz. The four panels are Vicoustic absorber/diffusers. ericuco, Nikhil, JS21 and 4 others 1 6 Grimm Audio MU1 > Mola Mola Tambaqui > Mola Mola Kaluga > B&W 803 D3 Cables: Kubala-Sosna Power management: Shunyata Room: Vicoustics “Nature is pleased with simplicity.” Isaac Newton "As neither the enjoyment nor the capacity of producing musical notes are faculties of the least use to man...they must be ranked among the most mysterious with which he is endowed." Yes, I use the Tambaqui's volume control (basically, it attenuates the DAC output). The only input is digital via AES/EBU from the Grimm MU1. Since the Tambaqui was designed using the Mola Mola amps (Kaluga), there is no impedance mismatch. I watch a lot of British / ANZ TV (via BritBox or Acorn TV), but also love watching live concerts from the Berlin Philharmonic, Live in HD from the Met (don't qualify to watch the live broadcasts, but typically watch them a couple months later via streaming), Carnegie Hall+, etc. I also enjoy most popular movies - my taste here is pretty proletarian LOL I love the big "blockbusters" with full surround sound / Atmos, etc. Fun. Popular Post brad225
I recently moved my Preamp and DAC/CD player to the front of the room from the side. This allowed me to eliminate an 8m interconnect and replace it with an 8m fiber optic run. The sound is better and at a cost of $9. Nikhil, PavelDosko, jcn3 and 7 others 3 7 Link to comment
