Popular Post sphinxsix
Was listening to Debussy a lot for a couple of weeks, next came Mahler. In both cases I claimed that Debussy (or Mahler of course) is the new Bach 😎 Going back to 'normal' at the moment which could probably be labelled : "Bach is the new Bach" 😉 I will allow myself to steal this phrase from recent Chris's post - pure genius! And still among my personal top WTC performances (16-44).. semente and WAM 1 1 Link to comment

Kelly
My favorite album of this year. “Trinity River” is a highlight track. However, I think this album deserves to be listened to start to finish. It’s got a great flow. 89reksal 1 Roon ->UltraRendu + CI Audio 7v LPS-> Kii Control -> Kii Three Roon->BMC UltraDAC->Mr Speakers Aeon Flow Open Link to comment

sphinxsix
Both the performer and the label - unknown to me. I'm 10min into this recording and at the moment I'm quite far from being convinced (first listen, mp3 stream). Edit: 10 more min into it and although IMO his transcription works better in case of some var-s than others, I'm slowly getting slightly more convinced to what he has done.. Link to comment

Popular Post AnotherSpin
A fabulous versions of the 3rd and 5th, conducted by Santtu-Matias Rouvali. While working on the Fifth Symphony in the midst of the World War, Sibelius was stunned by a vision of swans flying through the silence of rural Finland, an episode that inspired the finale. https://open.qobuz.com/album/kvoqkf29vywca PavelDosko, Jud, orresearch and 2 others 1 2 2 Link to comment

AnotherSpin
Congenial Schubert from Jörg Demus. In the 1950s, Jörg Demus, together with Friedrich Gulda and Paul Badura-Skoda, became the so-called Viennese "Troika", an ironic reference to the decade of postwar Soviet occupation of the Austrian capital. https://open.qobuz.com/album/u709z06978kbc Link to comment
