I'm not particularly interested in a continuation, but, what the fuck, that is the continuation of Sarah, Ella.... Link to comment

dericchan1
Long anticipated album to conclude Diana Panton’s trilogy of love story from 2009 - Pink, 2018 - Red and 2022 - blue (the sad ending). Pink and red were excellent, it's romantic, light, cheerful and happiness. Blue has more soul and sadness, Heartbreaking and love lost!!! Highly recommended!!! lamode 1 Link to comment

Prior to that her brilliant earlier collection in the series, Archives, Volume 2, 1968-1971, The Reprise Years, was also in regular rotation. Remarkable is not a significant enough word for Joni's contributions to music. Her impact, overall, is almost incalculable. The degree to which she influenced David Crosby, Graham Nash, Neil Young (from his teenage years), James Taylor, and on and on is simply amazing. In recent years, even Prince, Bjork, Bonnie Raitt, and Taylor Swift have acknowledged their debt to her, as have countless others. An astounding artist in so many ways. TubeLover
And now, for something completely different, I continue to be impressed with what A.A. Williams is putting out. Her minimalist yet moving version of "Nights In White Satin" from her last release, an now, this new album offer a powerful landscape of music from a young artist to watch. Link to comment
Daccord
I bought Robert Wyatt's "Ruth Is Stranger Than Richard" in 1978 because the album cover was interesting. I'd never heard of Robert Wyatt,, but I liked the album so much I looked for more and found "Rock Bottom", which brought Ivor Cutler to my attention. His album "Jammy Smears" became a family favourite. But getting back to Ruth and Richard, I think usually I prefer Side Ruth and find Side Richard a little stranger. Link to comment

Popular Post AnotherSpin
Khachaturian's Violin Concerto was written in 1940, at the peak of Stalin's regime, just after years of mass terror, deadly famine in Ukraine, and exile of much of the country's population to the Gulag and forced settlements. Prokofiev wrote his first violin concerto a few months before the Bolshevik coup in 1917. Glazunov's concert was premiered in St. Petersburg a few weeks after the Bloody Sunday, the mass shooting of protesters that marked the beginning of the uprising of 1905, filled with violence, mass executions and Jewish pogroms. Each concert is beautiful, magically nonchalant, one may get an immediate and full impression that the horror of the days had nothing to do with them. One may ask, should an artist react to the events around and reflect them in his art? I have no answer. https://open.qobuz.com/album/0827949005961 muski, orresearch and Jud 1 2 Link to comment
