fas42
Personally, I'm going fanatical about knocking off the bugs if there is a possibility that I've touched a surface that was previously touched by someone who may have the virus. That means, strictly following the guidelines for how long the virus is viable on particular surfaces, and always decontaminating anything that we need to touch earlier than that, for more immediate use; using soap and water, or an alcohol product. That means, for example, taking the whole shopping thing extremely seriously - every item brought home is considered to be coated with 'wet paint', so to speak. Link to comment

I have made my experience with NHS service when attending Newcastle Business School a quarter of a century ago. As an effect from a lack of expertise and service by a med, I found myself with 41°c fever on the floor of my gf's appartment, receiving a full body Vodka massage to lower he temperature,by her and our Estonian girl friend, who had suggested this old recipe from her grandma. The next doc I saw some hours later had a good laugh on the story (to explain my "personal" smell) and gave me the correct dosed antibiotics I needed with that terrible angina, which was correctly diagnosed but wrongly treated by his collegue a week before. My thoughts are with you and your family as I think that UK should asap request help from the EU as a manouvre to as an attempt to counter engine the health service catastrophe the experts expect to come. However, I fear the strategists in No.10 won't do that and it will need much more time to administer British engineering skills efficently into the healthcare industry than is left to let this move have an deceicive impact on the situation. I hope very much that I am wrong with that assumption. Stay Safe and Sound, DT Middy and jabbr 1 1 Link to comment
Popular Post DuckToller
I interrupt the COVID-19 pandemic to bring you my latest episode....... So I’ve just been to the supermarket to buy a bag of food for my dog.(see avatar) Already in line, a woman behind me asked me if I had a dog. I stared at her (those who know me will imagine my gaze ) ...but then why would I be buying dog food...right? So on impulse I told her no, that I didn’t have a dog, that I was starting the dog food diet again, and that I probably shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital the last time, but i did weigh 4 kilos less! I told her that it was the perfect diet and that all you had to do is carry a few biscuits in your pocket and eat one or two every time you feel hungry (I have to mention that practically everyone in line was interested in my story). Frightened, the woman asks me if I ended up in the hospital because the dog food had poisoned me. I answered...of course not! I was admitted because I bent down to sniff the bum of a German Shepherd and I was hit by a truck I thought the man behind her was going to have a heart attack...he was laughing so hard! ...Let’s continue promoting reading! kumakuma, Teresa, AudioDoctor and 8 others 11 Link to comment

It has also been suggested that our Internet speeds will soon drop back to 1990 speeds due to massive congestion with many now isolated at home. Agreed. They should never phased out paper bags which were often quite strong. Perhaps they did that originally due to environmental groups complaining about the cutting down of trees ? However, we didn't have as much packaged frozen food back then. The " string bags" used years ago were also quite cheap and ideal for most fruit and Vegetables.
