I spent years cleaning up my tagging. If Audirvana messed with it, I'd be very angry. I think it is more to give you "Roon-light" contextual information, like this:

I upsample everything below 88khz with Audirvana due to some internal oddities of my DAC. But most of the listening I've done so far has been on native high-res material which I leave untouched.

The Composer tag is still problematic -- Audirvana Studio can only read in the first of multiple composers, like 3.5.  However, on some tracks, it has replaced the composer information with multiple composers from it's own database to display in Audirvana Studio -- I could tell by the display format. The program should be made to read in multiple composers from the file tags.

 

And I don’t appreciate Audirvana Studio using it’s database information instead of my file tag information.

Is that true, that Audirvana replaces my tag info (I assume it doesn’t overwrite, just uses its own in the app).  That’s one of my biggest issues with Roon.  At least with Roon, you can override it’s tag info with your own.  Unfortunately, this could be a deal breaker for me.

Install probs - Have the trail email, clicked the link, it goes to the AV site and nothing happens?  Retried the link, says account already exists.  Cant you just download the installer?   Not sure what / where to go at this point.  Maybe the servers are being max'd out.

Had the same problem. Managed to log in and download from there.

I can't even start Studio.  I'm on a mac & it keeps downloading a Windows version.  The app icon has the circle with the diagonal bar denoting not recognised.

hmmmmmm.........how do I insert a VST3 plugin ? It sees Dirac Live but not my other VST3 stuff.

I agree only because I've been on the corporate side of things where subscriptions stabilized revenue and allowed nearly complete control of the installed software.

 

On the other hand, subscriptions can be abusive which we are seeing in other sectors.

Ok I found my Qobuz playlists and everything ...just had to look around a bit more ;).  And my audio files are almost done being analyzed   ..... but the coolest part ...the sound !  As Musicophile said earlier ..'more analog ' ... great !  How‘d they do that ? :)

 

But it says I cannot use the fancy Audio HD Analysis feature durring trail period ...only after subscribing .... but when I go to subscribe it tells me I will only be able to subscribe in the upcoming days ...hmmm 

 

But sound quality is really great !    I like it !

Audirvana is not rewriting your tag info in the file.  Rather, it can replace the file info with it's own for display in Audivana (at least for Composer).

That was an interim condition while the site was being brought online (at least for me). Have you tried again recently?

I understand that it’s not rewriting my tag info in my file.  I find it problematic that it’s replacing my file info with it’s own for display in the app.  I take the time to tag my files in the way I want them and that’s what I want to see in the app (like 3.5 or J River).

I think it's the same as Audirvana 3.5 plus some gimmicks. I can't setup my singxer SDA-6, only DSD256 is supported, no upsampling. the setup is terrible. No HQPlayer support. For me HQplayer is still my favorite.
