That is just 10 km away from me.

But I will be in Munich.

Curious: Domaine Huet?

Enjoy DCD!

Best, Tom

Yes, -- definitely domain Huet, and also Bernard Fouquet, - who simply cannot ever be missed!!  😀  Our trip is mostly focused on Paris and the show, - but, - I cannot resist a (however brief) stop in the Loire/Vouvray,- my favorite wines. If you have any advice, (or food & wine suggestions) & want to drop me a PM, - I would be grateful. This is my first time to the Vouvray area.

Mwessier et Mesdames,

the weather forecast for Munich shows a Minnesotian springtime for next week, lots of rain and down to 12 °c. Rather Bierkeller than Biergarten for most of us, I assume. That would, as Miska has pointed out, probably need a reservation.

Please let me know until Monday evening (CT) - here or PM -, who would join a booked Bierkeller event on Thursday or Friday evening.

The Happy hour event at the MOC premises may be organized differently, especially to meet up with Rajiv, as he seems otherwise fully booked.
Thanx & Best, Tom

I have an extra ticket for this concert on Wed, May 8th: https://www.muenchenmusik.de/veranstaltungen/Academy_of_St_Martin_in_the_Fields-4186.html

A fellow AS'er who was to attend as part of our group had a flight schedule change, so he gets in too late to make it. I thought I'd offer the ticket to anyone in the AS community who might be interested. You'd get it at a substantial discount over face value.

Just PM me if you are interested.

There is not enough Bier in Bavaria to make Hans particularly interesting.

(BTW, just got some Huet delivered)

🙂

While I'm no fan of Mr. Beekhuyzen on account of the fact that he's obviously in the business of advertising, and I have no faith in his hearing ability, at least the topic is important. Would be interested in what these "2 steps to speaker placement" entails... And whether he's bringing anything new to the table.

Any idea what this is: http://www.hifideluxe.de/hifideluxeE.htm ?

It's going on at the hotel some of us are staying in!

We are going to that show, now our second year. In 2017 we did the MOC once with Aries Cerat, but I don't like MOC's demo cabins: too dark, too small & noise bleeding in. The more spacious rooms in the long corridors are always sold out long in advance, so that's not an option either.

The HifiDeluxe show is more cosy: real rooms with better acoustics instead of angled glass elements in many MOC rooms which are difficult to control, and there's a free shuttle bus between MOC and Hifi Deluxe. Also on Thursday, end-users are not allowed in the MOC, but you can visit the HifiDeluxe show!

ps: I did send Chris a PM about this show, but did not yet get a reply.

It is quite interesting small event. For example last year ROHM was demonstrating their new DAC chip there. And Kii Three was there as well, I just couldn't bear listening half an hour lecture before any music was played.

I'm late for this (too busy making fixes to HQPlayer 4 Desktop to follow the forum closely), so I missed the deadline. But I'm in for such...

Maybe we try for 4pm on Thursday at the MOC's "biergarten?" Unless it is literally raining into our biers, we can brave it. Since I'm from TX, I'll bring a jacket. :)

I could also do late afternoon Saturday...

Sounds good, but maybe not everybody is able to attend on a limited attendance trade day?

Miska, thank your for the response.

How is your disponibility?

Apparently,  we are the only ones with that interest, so group booking ain't an issue ...

Best, Tom

I guess we just settle for the biergarten at MOC since that seems to be the group interest...
