How can I determine which labels you have/don't have. For example, I can't search on Hyperion and see all albums on that label. You have to find an album from the label, then click the label in the album information. It's better than Tidal and Roon. phosphorein 1 Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

The UK Qobuz site has most of their catalog, and streams these in hi-res, so I hope these will be similarly hi-res in the US. Here are the quirks: Not all BIS albums available on Qobuz UK are visible in the US. Here's one from UK, but not visible on the US site: https://open.qobuz.com/album/7318599921648 Most BIS albums on the US site only stream 16/44.1 However, I am finding that this one on the US site will sometimes stream in hi-res, and sometimes as redbook: https://open.qobuz.com/album/fk3adfgq5ukib If this is just more teething troubles, that's fine, I'll be patient! Perhaps a nudge of @bissie could give us some info. Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

Anyway, thank you for transferring! I hope you've done the same with the other obviously upsampled albums in the Qobuz catalog I've posted here recently because I still cannot see any progress. I think you're shooting the messenger (Qobuz) when you should really be shooting the label that uploaded the files to Qobuz. Sure, Qobuz says it vets the releases etc... but the real issue is the labels. Sal1950, spin33, Hugo9000 and 4 others 6 1 Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

The Computer Audiophile
Qobuz needs to use Cloudflare for its DDoS protection. https://www.cloudflare.com/ddos/ Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment
The Computer Audiophile
@dmackta I highly recommend looking into Cloudflare to mitigate DDoS attacks. There's even a free tier of service that will protect you. Not sure it's practical for this specific attack or your configuration, but I'd check it out. We've been using Cloudflare for a year and love it. Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

If you can get a sample from both Qobuz and Tidal, even better. Here are some captures. Some serious DSP going on though I have a feeling. I had the internal sound card of my iMac outputting audio, even though I captured it before it got to that card, the apps may have DSP'd the output because that card is maxed out at 32/96 Captured from Qobuz app that said 16 / 44.1 Fairytales-MQA-16-44.1-Qobuz-App.flac Captured from Tidal app that just said Master Fairytales-MQA-Tidal-App.flac Below files were captured from Roon Fairytales-MQA-Tidal-Roon-App.flac Fairytales-MQA-Qobuz-Roon-App.flac left channel and Da Horsey 2 Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

Popular Post The Computer Audiophile
I would love the ability to search public playlists. For example, I created an AXPONA 2019 playlist for demos at AXPONA. However, the only way to play this stuff was to look up the playlist on my phone, then search for individual tracks using the iPad of the manufacturer. Or, login as myself on the manufacturer's iPad (not going to happen). Also, it would be great to see what others are listening to via search. https://open.qobuz.com/playlist/2217450 Mark Dirac and austinpop 2 Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

FLAC includes ID3 metadata which is embedded in the FLAC files and includes the artwork. You have to download the CD booklet separately however. As for greyscale's comment, you set the destination of the download in your account in the Qobuz app. See "Music Download" . This is if you download to the app. Otherwise you set the destination in your browser's download manager, as normal. Does Qobuz actually embed album art into the files?
