I saw her live first, India Arie, then bought her albums, the albums were quite unlistenable.

Fortunately, I haven't seen her live yet. Maybe that's why I can enjoy her songs painlessly. Or my stereo system doesn't resolve high enough for me to debunk the badness of the recording. Lucky me.

I have written about Samara Joy before but saw her last night in Ardmore where she performed with family members including her dad and her 92 year old grandfather. Incredibly talented family. I asked her if there were any members of the family who can ‘t carry a tune. Her brother chimed in no. I believe it after what I saw. What a great voice and true future star in the jazz world.

Well, just saw Vienna Teng, in Chicago, and it was a great concert, and she has such a great voice as well as amazing piano chops.

Definitely a talented pianist, as well a quality songwriter. An underrated performer from my perspective. I have yet to see her live, but am looking forward to the opportunity.
