@wklieHi, I have noticed that radio stations either flack or no flack ones are stopped after 30 minutes playback. I have upgraded the software yesterday.

@wklie hello Peter,

a friend of mine has a issue on his T2 about Spotify. 
He has just subscribed to Spotify Premium. 

According to the online user guide it should be possible to use Lumin app (iPad/iPhone) to access Spotify 

 

but he cannot find Spotify Settings

 

his T2 is running the last available firmware

 

is he missing something?

Please enable Spotify Connect setting in Lumin app.

 

Start Spotify app (not Lumin app), play something, tap the speaker icon, find Lumin T2, select it.

I have tested playback of Radio Paradise FLAC for over 8 hours without problem.

 

Please power cycle the Lumin, and try different radio stations.

 

If problem persists, please save your current playlist (if necessary) to iPad, then factory reset the Lumin hardware via the app.  After reset volume will be at maximum.

 

Disable Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, AirPlay "Lumin Streaming", Roon Ready if these are not used.

I will test again taking into account your recommendations. Furthermore, I have noticed the lumin powers on suddenly during the day when the app is off.

Just got my U1 and love it. 

 

I have some DSD512 files but my Chord Cutest DAC only supports DSD256. I did not see any resampling options for anything higher than DSD128 in the Lumin App resampling menu.

Hi. Great updates to the Lumin app. I think it would be nice to also have the option to add a track to a specific playlist, from within the Lumin app - in Tidal, for example. Not only to Favourites, but also to other playlist.

Totally agree with samatman - the playlists controls are not as easy to navigate as the other functions in the app.

If it would be possible to either click a track or album and add to a playlist, or list of playlists, it would be a great addition.

Is it possible to connect Lumin U1 Mini to wifi WITHOUT using Ethernet? I won't be using Ethernet in my home. It's not 1995. Welcome any thoughts. Their online-only manual is utterly useless. Thanks!

No. You can use a Wi-Fi extender

Just looking for a way to control playback rather than settings.

Well, I have heard that linn Kazoo is a friendly app for windows pc but I have not tried so far because I use only Lumin app on android samsung tablet and cell phone.

On Windows please try Linn Kazoo, JRiver, Audirvana, MEmu emulator (at your own risk) for Lumin Android apk, etc.

 

In the future it may be possible to use Windows 11 Android to run it, but this has not been verified.

Tidal can be controlled on windows pc (sound output) as soon as you have signed in on lumin app.

I think the online manual states clear that you must use ethernet cable from LUMIN U1 to router. If the signal is not capable to reach your devices pc, cell phone or tablet then you can use a wifi extender. Cabling is much better than wifi.

The problem was solved by cancelling the spotify that I am not using.

Tidal Connect (for Lumin X1 T2 U1 / mini) should not require Tidal login via Lumin app.

That makes sense to me.  Spotify Connect can be remote controlled via the internet (not just WiFi).
