On Windows please try Linn Kazoo, JRiver, Audirvana, MEmu emulator (at your own risk) for Lumin Android apk, etc.

In the future it may be possible to use Windows 11 Android to run it, but this has not been verified.

In addition to Tidal Windows app (if you only listen to Tidal), I forgot to mention there's also Roon.

I think there's a $1 for 3 month Roon trial now for new accounts.

I see no resampling option in the Lumin app to downsample DSD 256 and 512 in my U1?

None of the current Lumin models can do that.  You could, however, use Roon DSP Engine (but disable Native DSD Processing).

I use an U1 mini, connected by AES/EBU digital cable to a Matrix X-Sabre pro mqa DAC. What is the correct/best setting for me, if any, synchronous or asynchronous?

Please try both and let us know which sounds better to you.

I’m having a problem with Qobuz in the Lumin app.

it had been working fine till now.

it don’t show none of my favorites or playlist any more. Just some folders with a zero.

I logged out of Qobuz and back in on the Lumin app and but same result???

I just bought some DSD256 music from Native DSD but my U1 won’t play any of the tracks from several different albums.

I hit play no sound and a second later it then jumps to the next track. It continues to do this till it goes through every track then stops?

Ok. I got the 256DSD files to play. There is an issue with the Leedh. I turned that off and files play. They won’t play if Leedh volume control is on.

I've just realized my previous post is incomplete.

To explain further: The reason volume control has to be turned off for Lumin DSD256 digital output is that, since volume control for DSD implies a DSD to PCM conversion, but none of the current Lumin models can convert DSD256 or DSD512 to PCM (as stated in another recent post), so DSD256 will not be played to digital output if volume control is turned on.

Lumin volume-controlled analog output of DSD does not involve a PCM conversion, therefore it is different.

Peter Hi! Following up on a past query. Any ray of light for T1 + Tidal Connect?

I regret to announce that our oldest models Lumin S1 / A1 / T1 / D1 are not going to have Tidal Connect feature.  This supersedes any prior communication from us on this subject.

We are still trying to bring Tidal Connect to Lumin D2.

I know using airplay with Apple Music has been discussed in terms of lossless.

With the Tidal HiFi new cheaper plan I assume this will remain as CD quality on Lumin if you use full volume?

Anything to be aware of or has anyone tested this?

Setup:

Lumin D2> Roksan Blak> Focal 806

Yes, it would be lossless over AirPlay in the same way as Apple Music is.
However, I think you'll have a better overall experience by using TIDAL from within the LUMIN App.
Obviously you can use both and see for yourself.
