edwardsean
Does anyone know have some basic details about of v.4 that they are allowed to share? Is it mostly an advance in features and UI or upgrade in SQ or both? Link to comment
fantasia
Hi Guys As I have found out, the settings for the HQPlayer in the audio settings will disappear! How come? Quite simply because Jussi is constantly tinkering around and the HQPlayer is no longer compatible with Euphony! For this reason it is not supplied with updates that quickly! Because the support always has to adjust this again with considerable effort. In the future, this is probably best configured using a browser. Most of them are probably already doing this via this route ... Eventeull will have a multilingual user interface at a later date. I'm already looking forward to it! And probably an internal pdf booklet reader. with audiophile greetings Link to comment
Joerg D
Hello Is there any information if the design of Stylus will be a bit more fashionable and clearer ? I like the sound of Stylus, but the design could be a bit better. Jörg Link to comment
fantasia
Hi Complement I have just learned that an update to ver. 4 will not be free! I am also curious to see what features and improvements there are for the surcharge! Best regards, fantasia Link to comment

di-fi
Translation: According to support beginning 2022 (January, February) * I can not confirm reliability of the source, but any news/progress regarding Euphony OS is welcome Link to comment
AudioDoctor
I think it would make sense for Euphony to remove HQPlayer from the OS entirely and allow to send output from Stylus to an external HQPlayer. If not remove it entirely, then give us the option to use an externally located HQPlayer. No electron left behind. Link to comment
fantasia
Hi guys Hopefully the HQPlayer will not be removed as I and many others are using it! I think it makes more sense to talk to Jaussi and motivate him to work better together ?! With musical regards Link to comment

The complete HQPlayer administration interface is accessible under Euphony. Click the HQPlayer icon. It makes more sense to remove the few implausible input fields in Euphony. fantasia
yes, that's right, but this is only possible from the pc and not from the tablet! And only if dr hqplayer is activated! Link to comment

It would allow the user to use the most up to date version of HQPlayer, thats optimized for their hardware, and to use a GPU for CUDA or Rocm/AMD as well. No electron left behind. Link to comment

Euphony has no native DSD upsampling so those fields allow one to do so using HQPlayer without leaving the Euphony GUI Regards, Dave Audio system Link to comment

What kind of functions are they missing in Euphony / HQPlayer? When I open the administration interface of HQPlayer under Euphony (click on the HQPlayer icon!), I get the same GUI as with HQPlayer Embedded. I can set everything that I can do under HQPlayer Embedded. For example the Matrix Pipeline. 87mpi 1 Grigg Audio Solutions Owner StreamFidelitys Setup: Sonus Faber Amati Futura | T+A M10 | T+A SDV 3100 HV | fis Audio PC & Server | GigaWatt PC4-EVO+ | JCAT OPTIMO S ATX | FARAD Super10 & Super3 | Keces P8 | Afterdark Buffalo Switch | fis Audio Cables | Solidsteel HJ-3 / HY-A | Formfeld 1 | ABSORBER LIGHT | Link to comment
Popular Post fantasia
Alternatively, it might make sense to further develop the stylus player and give it an upsampling function! 5-10 filter variants would be sufficient for most of the time and the operation would be much clearer than that of the hqplayer! Comparable to daphile (free), which converts pcm audio on to fly to DSD64-512 and vice versa! 87mpi, beautiful music and louawalters 3 Link to comment

fantasia
Maybe a cpu upgrade will solve your problem? -> Core i9-12900K "Alder Lake-S and consumes even less energy than a powerful GPU! AudioDoctor 1 Link to comment

davide256
Has anyone found a way to have Euphony Stylus server serve music to HQPlayer embedded on a separate server? Can do it with Roon core but haven’t found a way to do it with Stylus. Can do collocated HQP embedded to separate NAA using Stylus but that has longer start of play delay than using Roon core to separate HQP embedded. Regards, Dave Audio system Link to comment
