..in my system the best sound is not no LAN - These weekend I tested a few of my best songs with no LAN and with my LAN setup. The sound over the LAN is more engaging. I think it is the reclocker of the  melco switch (Pink Fraun Ultra OCXO) that do the magic. If I put the melco switch out of the chain the sound is good but lifeless, it loose the complete engagement that I have, if I hear the music with my normal setup (melco switch) It is so much that I compare it to the different between Holo audio Spring 3 KTE to Holo audio May KTE

There are a few explanations that might cause this. By disconnecting the LAN cable during playback, it might cause the OS to repeatedly look for a reconnection causing an extra loading. To solve this, did you also try the relax mode of Euphony before disconnecting the LAN cable - then Euphony shuts down the LAN access from within the OS? It’s in Expert settings or press and hold the play button.

Still the bottom line is if it sounds good, that’s the path! Everything else is just theory.

I'm still on the latest version of V.3. I've been happily using it with Tidal, but today all of sudden Euphony is giving me an error.

Tidal problem: Client with token not found.

I've tried restarting, rebooting, but nothing helps.

Has anyone come across this, and know of a fix?

Tidal is working again at least for me running on v4.20230531.

Best Regards, Raimund

The problem with Audirvana Studio is that you cannot use the Izotope plugins in real time when you are on a network. You have to connect your computer to your DAC with a cable, it's completely stupid. So this is of no use to me. Additionally, the sound quality is much better on Euphony than on Audirvana, and is equivalent to Jplay Femto plus Audiophile Optimizer on Windows.

In all fairness, until now we've only been able to hear Audirvana running on Windows or macOS. It may run more efficiently and sound better on Linux.

Good to know about Tidal has back:)

But this issue waste all my trial and Robert refuse to extend it… very pity that service goes down there:(

That's not good. Given Tidal was working for other playback software including Roon, Euphony should have extended some extra time, not only to trial users but to paid subscriptions which lost playback time during this period. Simply a gesture of goodwill.

They really don't know how to market themselves.

Yes , service far far away from that were given by žeiko indeed.

But to my case, hhh, Yesterday I’ve got a message from them that my trial were extended, but I already bought a legal licence because of urgent needs of streaming service, so trial not very bother me now… I only hope that service some how to be more “closer” to us in any meanings.

  • 3 weeks later...

I wrote to Euphony support around mid week, asking for an approximate date when the beta, that they released in February, would be a full release.  There has been no word back from them yet.

I don’t have time to mess around with glitchy software, so I have been putting off loading the beta.

I checked this site every day to see if there is a new release. The same way I have been doing for about a year since there haven’t been any new releases other than this beta. And now they’re sitting on the beta for months.  I wonder what they’re waiting for so that they can release it?

Will you guys please report on the beta? There were a few mentions when it was first release.

How does it sound?

Are any parts glitchy?

thank you

Will

What GUI things bug you?

What bugs me, is that every time you want to put an album into RAM you have to go through two menus and do it manually.

I believe previously, there was a setting, which put all songs played, automatically into RAM

also, when you put the album in RAM each track has a circle with an “I” on it, which is supposed to turn blue and then the software tells you that all songs have been placed into RAM. But some of the time blue circle turns blue and some of the time it does not, and then it tells me that everything was loaded. I don’t know whether to believe it or not.

I guess I’ll have to bite the bullet and load the beta.

I know that I have to check a dialogue box which allows me to get betas. Currently, I do not see beta when I check for updates.

Do you know which menu it is in, please?
