Hugo9000
I was only going to listen to the 7th symphony from the above set, but I went on to the 9th, and now back to the 1st. I don't think Järvi is particularly acclaimed for his Dvořák, but I love this set. 请教别人一次是5分钟的傻子,从不请教别人是一辈子的傻子 Link to comment

So not surprising he plays existing content, isn’t that what you’d expect? I still like the special feel of a live album, especially with ECM SQ. Popular Post Hugo9000
George Frideric Handel Semele Kathleen Battle/Marilyn Horne/John Aler/Samuel Ramey/Michael Chance John Nelson/English Chamber Orchestra/Ambrosian Opera Chorus Kathleen Battle was in her element in this gorgeous secular oratorio from the glorious G. F. Handel. ? Wonderful performance as well from the legendary Marilyn Horne, my first operatic love! Here are a couple of highlights for anyone unfamiliar with this great music. First, an aria that led many to joke about how Ms. Battle was so perfectly cast in light of her reputed vanity : And another of those instances of Handel stopping time: Musicophile and Daverz 1 1 请教别人一次是5分钟的傻子,从不请教别人是一辈子的傻子 Link to comment
