From what I read from it’s capabilities at this time it’s a “streamer” limited to Tidal with “more services to come” and a CD/SACD player but does not have digital inputs and is not a ROON endpoint which limits its usefulness for me. Not sure why they didn’t include or have any plans for local server/Roon endpoint but with tons of files and it being limited to 24/192 not sure where it fits. look forward to your listening. This new one is really nice. The only thing keeping me from liking the sound even more was the fact that I wasn’t very fond of the music selection. I’m getting one soon for a full review. As I said to my pal from Bending Wave, “the industry” has lost all sense of and grasp on reality when a 40k CD player and streamer is looked upon as a “bargain” and because of the bargain it is void of basic capabilities almost all of us require.
