I spoke to Martin recently. He didnt seem concerned about ship time, noting it always takes longer then expected. Not sure if that's the final word on the matter but glad to hear no issues on his end.

try tracking them via 17track.net it's likely they are in pre customs hold, there is often a bit of a black box in that process between arrival and completing customs IME (also professionally when shipping stuff to the US).

West Coast always takes a day or two three longer from over here IME.

Mine shipped today. I believe I had the last pair ordered. 

I don't know what I will do with those yet but wanted to have them, so I can try them in a future project. In other words, I won't be posting feedback anytime soon.

My previous order of chokes from Martin took much longer to arrive than I had expected too.  To save on shipping costs due to their high density heavy weight, Martin doesn’t ship them by FedEx, DHL, or other premium services.  The only shipping I have ever experienced as slower is the free shipping from Ali Express in China.

 

The chokes are definitely worth the wait!

Hello to everyone here, I'm Martin Mug, aka Klubnikka. Sorry for my nickname (I won't explain, long story)

I sent the last 3 people the chokes today. Some are lucky because they have already arrived, others are still waiting. The Dutch post says 6-12 days, but my experience tells me that it can be twice as long if you live far from the Netherlands. Premium service was possible, but only at a very high price.

I'm curious about all your experiences with this new choke. The picture shows how to connect the choke. Use A and B. It doesn't matter which one you use as an input because the choke is wound symmetrically. Be careful that the different wires do not touch each other.

p.s Making chokes and audio transformers is just an hobby from me. I am specialized in tube (output)transformers.

they HAVE to be, 10 Amps @ 36 or so Volts DC is a lot of power...and that was the reason I was so sceptic about the Hammonds in the original design.

Sometimes specs mean 'the thing will not go up in smoke at this current' (just look power ratings for cheap speakers) but that is not what we need...

I am in rural North Carolina USA and my pair were delivered this afternoon.  They were very well packed and arrived in perfect condition.  Beautifully made.  Well worth the cost and the wait.

meanwhile I'm going in a different direction with a dual xeon build after some mishap with my new MB, I will likely keep the LPSU as is. and just splat the sage MB in place of the current one

My entire machine has mostly changed since installing the chokes but for the time that they were installed in the same exact system as the Mundorf inductors, I felt that the overall noise floor had dropped, the sound was more transparent and had more weight. There was a nice increase in bass articulation and control. In the end the sound was more dynamic in a good way. 

 

That being said, the difference going from Hammond 159zj to Mundorf VN180-10 was MUCH larger than going from Mundorf VN180-10 to Martin Mug choke.

thanks, sounds quite logical to me that going from an almost anemic choke to something better is larger jump!
