Popular Post ASRMichael
@The Computer Audiophile @audiopop I thought I would highlight a post I seen on another audio forum. Not for the first time I’ve seen a valuable member leaving AS to go to other forums. I’m sure you’ll appreciate members are key integral part of your business. Have you considered feedback form? A post explaining members are valuable to us....if you consider leaving, can you fill in X feedback form, as I’m sure great customer service retains its customers. Just to be clear, I have no issue myself, but I do want to ensure longevity of AS. Post from another forum Yes! I wanted to reply to your comment but they deleted the post.I do not know why they delete posts. Some guys there have ironic behavior and they make fun by leaving ironic comments and flames 'under the table'. I'm not that kind of person, so I decided to terminate my presence there and never leave again any comment. Bye bye! AnotherSpin and Ben-M 1 1 Link to comment
NOMBEDES
I recently requested that the Computer Audiophile delete a thread I started. I thought the thread had gone off track. The thread was deleted as requested. Chris and I thought it was a good topic, but we were concerned that it would be hi jacked and turned from an interesting discussion about music into something quite different. I participated on the thread, really understanding that it was risky. Frankly, even though I was not a part of the decision making process, believe that it was good to remove that thread. Tensions are higher than normal, and IMO best to keep on the audio topic, or cute puppies. John Link to comment

Popular Post AudioDoctor
SO someone left here because a thread was deleted that they wanted to reply to? And rather than reach out and ask questions to clarify the reasons why, he or she went to another audio forum to whine and complain? And you want to know why that person left via an exit questionnaire? You honestly think that would help these people any? cambridgehank, PeterG, Sonic77 and 2 others 3 2 No electron left behind. That is certainly a fragile relationship if just a thread deletion causes a loss of a forum member. Sometimes drastic actions need to be done to maintain a generally reasonable discourse. If an important subject that needs to be discussed, there are always more private methods to communicate. Sometimes rudeness becomes too easy, and certain kinds of subjects almost encourage negativity. Myself, I can certainly withstand some rudeness - but I am much more likely to return to a forum where the attitudes are reasonably friendly and collegial. Disagreement is not a bad thing -- rudeness associated with disagreement isn't a good thing. Sometimes, the entire discussion subject might cause rancour between otherwise friends. I don't know who you mean, that left because a post was deleted, but the people I am aware of who have willingly departed, or been kicked off, I was happy to see go. Sure, a few had good technical knowledge, but the constantly belligerent attitude was not a worthwhile the trade-off. Popular Post botrytis
It happens. Chris has been very careful in how he moderates (I think he thinks we are all adults and should self moderate - my opinion). I think this is one of the better forums out there, in the audio world. Sometimes, it is a little over my head (but I am sure I could do the same on other topics ) but I am learning and that is what we are here for. cambridgehank, AudioDoctor and John Dyson 2 1 Current: Daphile on an AMD A10-9500 with 16 GB RAM DAC - TEAC UD-501 DAC Pre-amp - Rotel RC-1590 Amplification - Benchmark AHB2 amplifier Speakers - Revel M126Be with 2 REL 7/ti subwoofers Cables - Tara Labs RSC Reference and Blue Jean Cable Balanced Interconnects Link to comment

I read that "Bye bye" post on another forum, and I had read the post he referred to on AS that was subsequently deleted by the thread op/mod. His Bye Bye didn't last long as he subsequently posted again on this forum and on the same thread. I'd put it down to a bit of posturing rather than a genuine defection. Just my two cents.
