wwaldmanfan
Well I was going to make a germanium/geranium joke (something about growing transistors in the garden), but you beat me to it. BTW, I can't stand the smell of geraniums. Some were growing in the yard of our last house and I ripped them out right away. I also have an aversion to juniper bushes. Alex, We have lots of juniper bushes. If my skin rubs against them, I get an allergic reaction. But, as long as I don't touch them, I'm fine. What I detest are boxwoods. They smell like cat pee! Who wants that odor in their yard? Back on topic...thanks for getting my REGEN in the mail ahead of schedule. It arrived today, and I've already put several hours on it: Norah Jones, Alison Krauss, Gillian Welch, Rickie Lee Jones, Jethro Tull, Bryndle. It sounds wonderful. You and John S. are awesome. Jud
By the way: Though it's soon to be superseded by the Amber version, I was listening with the Regen Green last night to my collection on shuffle play when a new completely unfamiliar song came up. It was "Speedway at Nazareth" from Mark Knopfler's Sailing to Philadelphia, and I must have heard it a couple of hundred times. With all the stuff in that track I'd never noticed before now clearly audible, it really was a whole different song. Stunning. Looking forward to hearing it with the Amber and seeing whether there's yet more to be gotten out of it. One never knows, do one? - Fats Waller The fairest thing we can experience is the mysterious. Foggie
I've had the Amber in place for about a week and I don't get what all the fuss is about. Can I get a refund. Ok, I'm kidding. I mean all the positive comments are getting a little boring I can't really add much more to what has already been stated. To me, the bass definition and overall clarity are what stands out. Just terrific. Made up a couple brackets too! My rig Link to comment

kumakuma
I would be concerned some will use the oven for other purpose than cooking meal Don't you heat up your cables before using them? I find a few minutes in the oven at a low temperature makes the sound warmer just as putting them in the freezer makes the sound brighter. TJHUB
My Amber arrived today. I only had about 20 minutes with it, but it took only a few minutes of listening to portions of my most familiar tracks to realize just how incredibly this little device performs. Wow! I can't wait to get more time with it. The sonic improvement is worth 10 times the asking price. What an amazing bargain. Thanks Uptone Audio! Link to comment

Tone Deaf
Amber arrived today. Did the usual before adding something new - listened to a dozen or so of my reference tracks before adding the Regen. First impression was that the music seemed significantly louder at the same volume setting - I'll be one of those turning the volume down. Then I spent the next hour just shaking my head.... I look forward to trying my Amber shortly. Regarding the LPSU, try the HD Plex one, much more affordable than the JS-2. A friend of mine bought one as well (he's an engineer) and was very impressed with build and sound quality. Link to comment

mourip
I hooked up my Regen Amber yesterday. Remarkable packaging. Very professional. Felt like I was unboxing an iWatch! Not ready to give impressions yet but have a question. Once hooked up does the Regen invoke plugn'pray from the PC in order to install a driver for the hub chip? Mine is playing fine now but I am running in Core mode via AO and probably do not have the P&P service running... "Don't Believe Everything You Think" System Link to comment
audio.bill
mourip - Using a Windows 7 laptop the USB hub driver was automatically installed and then I was prompted to perform a reboot. Link to comment
edn4x4
I received my amber yesterday and have not been able to get KS working with my Hugo. I am also running AO in core mode on my audioPC (2 pc setup )and am sure P&P was disabled. I will try to enable P&P. The ASIO/Wasapi was seen from JPLay - but not KS. I did reinstall the Hugo drivers and installed KS support in AO afterwards, but still no luck. Anyone else have this issue or can anyone else confirm KS works with the Regen. I am wondering if the hub chip has anything to do with KS, but would like to rule out anything in my local environment first. I will also have to chime in on the packaging and finished product - very nice work! Link to comment
