BTW, Carter is an audiophile and was interviewed in the "Musicians as Audiophiles" where he said the bass sound on this album is excellent. He has some interesting comments about sound, bass reproduction, etc in the article. Even says he changes his playing on recordings b/c he knows some of the detail he hears live won't be reproduced properly in a recording.
