The Installation hang using apt at a HQplayer konfiguration screen with license text. with dpkg no install button appears.

Build 4.18.1 runs fine.

What install button? What does dpkg say?

I don't have any errors on 20.04:

I think the install package is corrupt.

You can redownload if you suspect it is corrupted.

Seems like Roon is able to start streaming to HQPlayer, but NAA gets stuck or crashes. Have you rebooted your Rendu and DAC?

For me, an android tablet version would be perfect (if you can, of course), as i'm not sharp-eyed and i hate using phone for music reproduction.

But i don't know if others would be ok with a tablet (not phone) version, please everybody let us know what you think about it

it could be a solution.....
a simple browser that connects to the PC client ...
a bit like it happens with daphile or with volumio
and I can access from tablet-cell-laptop

sistema:

Server HDPlex (i7-6700-WS2016) HQPlayer con Ramdisk + HQPDcontrol > Macmini (roon core+Qobuz) o HQPlayer Client + Qobuz > HDPlex NAA (celeron G1840T-WS2016) NAD con Ramdisk, o miniPC Fitlet con immagine di Miska > Denafrips Ares2 , SPLvolume2 > Monitor KH+sub

It seems that no NAA can be discovered … is it powered on, running and with a dac connected and powered on?

yeah I reset and unplugged everything... starting over. MysonicOrbiter picks up the Rendu from the web browser just not the connecting the way i need it to.

HQPlayer is not connected finding the NAA. Maybe you have Roon configured to use it through RoonBridge/RoonReady and it is keeping the DAC busy?

This is not from dpkg but something else. How are you trying to install the package?

Generic installation instruction. Assuming you have downloaded the generic package to Downloads folder. Open terminal and do:

cd Downloads
sudo dpkg -i hqplayer4desktop_4.19.0-88_amd64.deb
sudo apt install -f

Gang,

HQPlayer newbee.... Went the easy route, single box, Win10Pro, Roon + HQplayer 4. Have skipped the Linux/embedded route for now. Did get it to work 1st try & in no time though :-) Am now at the stage of tinkering with SDM defaults. Not using the HQPlayer Client (Roon remote on iPad).

My Q: The Settings dialog of HQplayer 4 Desktop is rather large (tall). Tinkering SDM settings via remote desktop on an ipad makes things REEAALY tiny or implies dragging & resizing & scrolling for things to show on screen, which is kind if annoying. Is there a better way of doing it remotely from my iPad ?
Alternatively, can the Settings dialog be split in two? I never touch the top half (once set) anyway...

Bits to analog: Server [i9-10850k; Win10Pro, Roon Core + HQPlayer4 >all DSD256x] -> mRendu -> Regen -> Lampi GG

Analog to sound: ASR Emitter II Exclusive, Battery -> Gryphon Mojo S + 2 x REL G2

Details: Audio System

If you want to try different filters and modulators, you shouldn't use HQPlayer Settings-dialog. Instead you should change the active settings when playback is in stopped state, either using HQPlayer Client, or some other remote control application such as HQPDcontrol.

The ones in HQPlayer Settings-dialog are only startup defaults.

In addition changing any setting there, or even just opening the dialog triggers full player engine restart. While just changing active filters, modulators, output rate and such are very lightweight operations.

OP is using Roon. No choice but to use HQPlayer Settings.

Of course there is! You can always use HQPlayer Client or HQPDcontrol to adjust active filters, modulators and such. Even though Roon lacks such functionality.

Sorry, I stand corrected. For some reason I thought you could only use one or the other.
