Blackmorec
Over the past 9 months I’ve upgraded my streaming network with tri-band router and Linear Power Supplies throughout. I then added Synergistic Research ethernet cables and placed the PSs on Artecama mini racks. The improvements were akin to upgrading amplifiers, DACs or Servers. So now I’m looking at DC cables. My current installation uses regular 1m twisted pair DC cable and I’d like to try something a little more errrr optimised. I checked the Ghent website and was blown away by the number of different brands, topologies, screening possibilities etc. Given that we’re talking 4 cables throughout a dedicated 5GHz band wi-fi installation, I would set a budget of say £150.00 per cable (budget, not target!). Given the application, are there any obvious choices regarding topology, conductor and connector selection? I’ve read enough about DC cables to ensure I’m well informed but at the same time due to the sheer volume of information and opinions, thoroughly confused. Would really appreciate some guidance from anyone who’s put some time and effort into evaluating/optimising DC cabling. Thanks Link to comment

No. What about avoiding the DC cables at all ? I mean, I don't see any here. Yea, phone chargers. marce
Except probably on the PCB's of the above kit... At DC you can look at Resistance, capacitance and inductance of the cable (and whether it can carry the required current and voltage safely)... probably the most important factors. Mike Rubin
Can't offer help on DC cables and don't want to send the thread off the rails, but what's an Artecama mini-rack? Blake
Different systems, different ears, differing subjective opinions (all of which are equally valid)..... The Gotham JSSG360 was just a bit bright/hard sounding and therefore eventually fatiguing in both of my systems. So I sold it. I preferred the cheaper Canare from Ghent over the Gotham and use it in my office system. My Revelation Audio Labs Passage CryoSilver is still the best in my main system (warning, don't buy the Revelation Audio Labs cable- it is awesome, but delivery of products from this company has been sketchy in the past- if you are looking for silver in a DC cable, look at some other company).
