No, Aurender Content Server (ACS) can rip and store content for the network. You could pull audio from ACS to other Aurender servers easily. Many more details to come.

I hope that it will become a new standard and one can forget these fancy USB cables, purifier, reclocker and power supplies for these! Ravenna drivers are existing for Windows, MacOS and Linux. Roon's upcoming Nuc boxes using Ravenna would be likely the future if my DAC can play along!

 

I will be doing a video interview with Merging to educate anyone interested in Ravenna.

Hi Guys - Thanks for all the posts from people at the show and interested in the show. I think we are on to something here. When many people post, even a little bit, the coverage is far better than what one person (me) can do alone. Plus, we get great opinions about what was interesting, innovative, and sounded good/bad.

By the way, I met Morten Lindberg from 2L at the show. What a cool guy. I wrongly assumed he would be very hoity-toity, given the content of the albums on his label. I was so wrong. He is very down to Earth, knows a ton about good sound, and about the music business. I'm so happy I met him in person.

I've listened to Kharma extensively in a familiar environment, and believe the Marten's are much better for my taste.

Yes and no. At a show there are thousands of products. I forget most of the products I see and hear at shows. I remember the stuff that leaves an impression on me and that's only done with specific music and a certain amount of time. Plus, the overall experience of thinking the manufacturer actually cares enough to let me decide what I want to hear is a nice feeling.

I don't disagree. It's human nature to pay more attention to shiny and large items versus a concept of sound quality that can be difficult to determine under show conditions.
