Dare I add some silly things to this list:)

I live less than 50 miles away from Sonore, so mine will take the longest.

Pareto Audio AMD 7700 Server --> Berkeley Alpha USB --> Jeff Rowland Aeris --> Jeff Rowland 625 S2 --> Focal Utopia 3 Diablos with 2 x Focal Electra SW 1000 BE subs

i7-6700K/Windows 10  --> EVGA Nu Audio Card --> Focal CMS50's

We are going to turn them around as quickly as possible. We are going to run two updates on the processor and swap out the main board and test the assembly. Sonicorbiter 2.5 will be installed for those people that opted for it. There are a lot of units coming in, but our team is trained and ready.

FYI: Today after updating my microRendu it wouldn't start playing. I tried several things:

Power off/on microRendu (usually that helps after an upgrade)

Power off/on Amplifier with dac (usually that helps after an upgrade)

Power down using the browser GUI

I have only DLNA renderer running so I restarted MPD

I hid "save changes" in the DNLA Settings (browser GUI)

Installed Shareport so I could use the App Switcher

Powered everything of and on again (several times in the proces)

Nothing worked. I could connect to microRendu with the browser GUI but it would not show up in Bubbleupnp.

I finaly solved the problem by going to the settings menu in the browser GUI and ...

DLNA settings (browser GUI) check and uncheck "Enable direct DSD" and hid save.

Directly microRendu showed in Bubbleupnp.

I really got scarred I would have to play CD's for a while :-)

Jesus - my microRendu should be arriving tomorrow. I'm jazzed!  Does it have remote RF capability, or a port available for that OR do you recommend it just stay on all the time? Mine will be behind cabinet doors.

thanks,

Man, this thing doesn't even have an on/off switch, let alone anything RF!

I've kept mine on 24/7 for many months - no issues. Just make sure it has breathing room and doesn't overheat due to hot air build up in the cabinet (it can get pretty warm on its own).

No prob. If you want to turn it off when not in use, you could plug the power supply into an outlet (or surge suppressor with on/off switch) that's accessible for you. However be aware that the device takes a minute or two to boot up, and sometimes a bit longer if you're running other apps/servers on the device (I run BubbleUPNP server, and I find that can take a few mins to show up on my network after a reboot).

Sounds like you have it all under control.
