IMO Karajan's hair on this photo looks extremely cool, I'd love to dye mine like that if it wasn't already all grey But if I used some black color and left just these two areas on the sides grey.. hmmm.. have to seriously think about it sphinxsix 1 Link to comment
Popular Post Daccord
My nephew visited recently. I can always count on him to bring over something interesting. (Available on Tidal, 7digital, and highresaudio, but you must search for "Strozzi: Virtuosissima compositrice" instead of "Barbara Strozzi") rando and Hugo9000 2 Link to comment

I have 2 albums of her in my repository, but am not impressed at all. Given the praise is not just from us all, I think it's up to you to explain why you're not impressed. Is it because she's young, Asian, and attractive, and therefore can't be seriously good? Or, since you're a EuroChamp, is it just because she's not Euro? sphinxsix and AnotherSpin 2 Link to comment

Is that a Roon screen shot? I always have to click to enlarge and then zoom in to see what you're listening to. I like it when people post album covers. I'll give this one a shot. Is this her best recording? Sadly, she died far too young. Only three albums, so it won't take you long to find your favourite. semente 1 Link to comment
Popular Post Daccord
It's morning, and I'm listening to a single cantata (BWV 123), not an "album". Since ripping all 71 CDs and then organizing everything into works instead of discs I've had a lot of fun listening to a different cantata (in sequence) every morning. Popular Post Daccord
Album of the morning, recorded at Koerner Hall in Toronto earlier this year. I thoroughly enjoyed the concert, so it's great to have the album at last (released this week). EuroChamp, Musicophile, Jud and 3 others 3 2 1 Link to comment
Daccord
Look at the mess that Tidal made of this relatively new release of Rigoletto, from the funky cover crop to the incorrect track order (ignoring disc number). I ended up buying the download, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Link to comment
Daccord
I bought this LP in 1975 or perhaps 1976. I've never seen it on CD, so I made a needle drop a long time ago. It's not on Tidal, and whatever Spotify has is nothing like the LP I bought. I listen to it a couple of times a year, and it always sparks joy. I think this may be the greatest prog rock album ever. If only Qobuz were available in Canada. But I clicked on your link anyway and the track list doesn't match the LP. It's showing what Spotify shows. What's Timothy? It's certainly not on the LP. Seems like an extended version of the original LP: https://www.amazon.co.jp/Illusions-Double-Dimple-Triumvirat/dp/B007MV8458/ref=tmm_acd_title_2?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1576466902&sr=8-1 Thanks. My son speaks Japanese and he's going to Japan after Christmas to visit his grandmother. And he likes Triumvirat. I'll ask him to do some investigating. Link to comment

I found that too, with Google. But after logging in, Tidal tells me the content is no longer available. In fact, Tidal does have a listing for Triumvirat, but there is no associated content - just "similar" suggestions. Mister Ten Percent strikes again! Link to comment

The album covers are both in English on that Amazon Japan link @dieterjp posted. Timing is slightly off compared to that shown on the Youtube thumbnail. Delivery within Japan to Obaa-chan's and pickup by son should save me a bundle on shipping. rando 1 Link to comment
