Adding "Comment.displayFormat={$*infoFileURI^<a href="^">Digital booklet</a>$comment}" to tagFormat will allow you to see booklets for albums in the app.

@mnuno10 Hello, i went through that command and added "comment" in the "indextags", i see the icon but when i click on it a web page is appearing mentioning "Requested resource not found" : any clue ?

Thanks a lot

I think "Digital Booklet.pdf" will not be recognized by MinimServer. Try change the filename to "booklet.pdf".

Check this page for more info on the subject:

https://minimserver.com/ug-library.html#Information files

The pdf booklet function was working fine for me in 1.02.  However, in the new one, jplay shows the booklet icon, but when I click on it I get the same error term others have gotten.  I tried rescanning minimserver and resynching, but no luck.

I get an error that it cannot start browse on my network. After spamming the refresh button long enough i was finally able to see my minim server long enough to index it, but now it wont reconnect. Plex server just errors when i try to index. LMS looks like its indexing just to have it fail and go offline without any library.

renderers dont show up properly either, again having to spam refresh until the one i want comes up, but at least i can play music to them once theyre added.

also does not ignore articles (the beatles) when browsing artists 🫤

It should, anyway I’m using the name booklet.pdf and if works for 99% of my booklets ( …href="^">booklet</a>….) but there are very few booklets that cannot be retrieved.

I think therefore it is not a JPlay issue but can be something in the pdf file (… it happened too when I was using Audirvana ….)

I use "Comment.displayFormat={$*infoFileURI^<a href="^">Digital booklet</a>$comment}" in properties and when I name files "Digital Booklet.pdf" MinimServer does not index them.

That's odd, can you activate logs and using "By Folder" to navigate and Album where that happen?

Do you have any other UPnP app open on the device? Or TIDAL? If yes please kill them and try to search for devices again.

We will take a look at Plex indexing. LMS indexing fails in any particular step of indexing?

The Beatles does not appear? Where?

No other upnp app, i just use LMS via web browser typically. I do have qobuz, but even after a fresh reboot i get the same result. I suspect it may have to do with my router (TP Link A20) since i looked at the logs and 90% of the print out was the app discovering the router.

LMS looks like it goes through the whole process, indexing albums, then going through the directory structure. It gets to the end 99% and hangs there for a few min and then kicks back to the main screen with no library items.

the beatles do show up, just sorted under t rather than b. Not sure if thats a function of minim (i do believe i have minim to ignore the articles, but its been my experience that it doesnt matter how minim sorts things because the control point does its own indexing, like Lumin). Thats just more of a preferential complaint than a bug, but typically articles are ignored when aorting artists, and i definitely prefer it that way.

im also noticing that a lot of artist images dont show up when browsing the artist list, however they do when opening individual artist pages.

it would also be nice to see artists be merged between qobuz and local libraries, rather than having 2 al koopers listed.

Do you manage images in Minimserver? In this case you just need to go to Settings, select your Minimserver library

.

then select Download Artists/Composers images

I don't, and they could be my problem.  I pretty much only use LMS so that's all I've put effort into getting my library to properly work on.  Hopefully once LMS is fixed in JPlay I won't have that issue anymore.

However, JPlay is still getting the artist images when I open the artist page, so it should be capable of populating them in the library view from where ever it gets them.

I am surprised that you got LMS DLNA to scan.  On the few occasions that JPlay discovered it on my network, JPlay will index albums to 3% and then stops, giving me the error message reading "Error."  That effort leaves behind no library entries at all.

@Mike Rubin @Spacecase

There is a problem indexing LMS libraries. When we sync data we are using Search UPnP method and expect that LMS returns albums for an album search but it is returning tracks. So nothing is added to the library.

Next week we pretend to release an update with an alternative sync method that will use Browse UPnP method, that will add support for libraries that does not support Search method and that should fix LMS problem.

@Spacecase

After sync JPLAY try to get images for artists from covers of added albums. But if you have TIDAL or Qobuz, when you navigate to an artist, in order to provide a more accurate/useful image, we try to get a new image from these services. That's why the image change when you open and artist.

As @stefano_mbppointed out there is also the possibility of download the images from your library server.

Related to sort issue, that feature is not yet supported but we plan to add it in a couple of versions.
