Article: JPLAY for iOS Is Now Available

Recommended Posts

Last week I bought a Lumin U2 streamer (NOT mini). The Lumin application did not interest me after my experience with the JPLAY iOS app, it is confusing, it is a pain to create local playlists, there is no Qobuz information about the artist and the album, it takes a long time to load albums, etc., etc. That is why I tried the JPLAY iOS app, which I have purchased - everything is OK, but I often get the message "Renderer in transition" and I can't move on ... what about it?

Please check in the Lumin app that you have UPnP/DLNA mode enabled

I have the Lumin U1 and get this same error quite often. I have to remove all songs from the playlist in JPLAY to continue. Also when my Playlist is finished JPLAY will randomly play 1 song from my local library. ??

So  ...  UPNP on Lumin app is ON, no other UPNP application than JPLAY is not active

In Lumin app, make sure Re-sampling setting is OFF.  In case you're using a very old or unusual DAC that does not support 192kHz, let me know what it is.

Make sure your setup works with Lumin app first.

Kill JPlay app, and relaunch it.

Hello,
- my setup works with the Lumin app without any problems
- the cause of problems with JPLAY was oversampling enabled in the Lumin app

Hopefully in time I will get used to the Lumin app and have the option of resampling, web radio and Leedh processing

So far, I am missing Qobuz information about the album and artist in the Lumin app, complicated adding one song to the playlist, slower responses, lack of clarity on the page on the iPad, recently played list, monthly lists of albums played, etc.

My setup SFP - Lumin U2 - DAC Rockna Wavedream XLR - passive preamp Big Hattor - amp Simaudio Moon W8.

Thanks everyone for the advice

I hope someone can help me.

I'm trying to get Jplay to work as my control point using Minimserver and HQ player embedded on my Sonictransporter i9.

Minimserver is fine and my library is in Jplay app.  I installed HQplayer embedded on the Sonictransporter. HQplayer embedded sees my Optical Rendu/Holo may DAC endpoint on the backend. I changed no other settings.

I have SonicTransporter:SignalystHQPlayer4 selected in JPlay as my renderer but get an "error sending action to renderer"  on Jplay when I try to play a track.

Try to swipe off JPlay and restart it

I restarted my Sonictransporter so I'm within the 30 minute limit of HQ player trial.

I swiped off the Jplay as suggested and restarted it but get the same error. I even restarted my iPad but still get same error.

Check if your settings are like the screenshot

Yes they are but I got it working. I deleted the Jplay app and data and reinstalled from scratch. Now working.

JPlay IOS can not stream Tidal to HQPlayer Embedded by upnp (with red alarm: error sending action to renderer).  JPlay IOS can only stream Qobuz to HQPlayer Embedded by upnp.  BTW, Mconnect can stream both to HQPlayer Embedded.

modify: JPlay IOS can not stream Tidal to HQPlayer Embedded 4 by upnp (with red alarm: error sending action to renderer).  JPlay IOS can stream Tidal and Qobuz to HQPlayer Embedded 5 by upnp.  BTW, Mconnect can stream both to HQPlayer Embedded 4 and 5.
