You're out of your element. Headphone cross-feed and "correction" has been tried for decades and the market has always rejected it.

If a DAC had a fibre optic input, like the Lumin X1, would something like the eR be needed? Assuming you used a good fibre switch from you router, such as this one.

 I am debating between the following 2 DAC's:

 

1) Mola Mola Makua or Tamaqui DAC  (plus 1 of)

  a. RJ45 streaming + eR

  b. USB streaming + Sonore Signiture Rendu SE Optical 

 

2) Lumin X1 with fibre optic streaming.

 

I have limited experience in this but my understanding is that the fibre optical cable eliminates all analog noise that can cause degradation in sound.

I used fiber directly from a Ubiquiti switch to the X1 with great results. I now run fiber to the Sonore Signature Rendu SE optical.

You may want to look further into the conflicts of interest and misinformation on that site. It has been discussed many times around here.  You can search if you’d like, but I won’t rehash it in this comment section.

I hear you bober, but that’s an argument for a device like the ether regen because you’re saying more devices actually cause problems, thus there’s a problem that must be dealt with. 
 

In the strictly analog world, I used to believe this until I tried some DACs with a preamp between the DAC and amp. Sometimes it’s better and other times it isn’t. 
 

I like options and am happy if you’re happy listening to great music on your system.

Unreal. I know for a fact this won’t be posted or I’d definitely explain why this has no effect on audio. Sad people are being duped here.
