I have been using 6.4 (fresh flashed) with rhe CM4 USBridge Signature and it work well and fast with RT kernel, profile 2 and Ram system 9.

However, I have just realised that I could not change Kernel any more after switched to RT kernel.

Click "Select kernel" result with error:

"Failed to load script info. Try to reload the page. Error message:

Failed to connect to the server"

Remove RAM system, change to standard profile did not help.

Is this a known issue?

doesn't the page update solve? the full update?

example:

Chrome: Shift + Reload Button or Shift + F5
IE: Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + Reload Button
Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + R or Shift + Reload

if it does not solve it is probably an error in the script...
can you post the system-info?

Thank you,

After gp-update, the script works.

are you sure it is the CM4 version? Where did you find it?

This is a modified version using a CM3 to CM4 adapter.

You can take a look at some latest posts about the required modifications on the Allo USBridge Signature topic from the link shared above.

Hi,

after some problems with BeagleBone Black changed system to Raspbery Pi 4.

Still I am a little confused witch Kernel to select? Will only use it as Roon-Bridge device (and sometimes as Airplay device).

It here is no advice which Kernel to use: could some one please give some emanation on the (for me) cryptic abbreviations?

Thank you

Hi @antonellocaroli,

Many thanks for the amazing software. This isn't a major issue but I'd appreciate your advice when you can.

I'm using v6.30 x86 XFCE version on an old laptop running LMS.

After a few minutes of no trackpad or keyboard input, the screen turns off. It can be woken again on using the keyboard or trackpad. So it seems that some sort of power-management is still active.

In the top left menu on XFCE desktop, under 'settings', if I try to open the power-management menu it tells me it isn't running. If I tell it to open it anyway, the GUI shows it as disabled. This is what I expected - I have selected performance mode using the web interface which I thought disabled power management.

What process do you think is causing the screen to be powered down?

In a perfect world it'd be great to be able to manually deactivate the screen once I'd set some music playing so long as it could be woken again.  Or, failing that, set the time until the screen turns off to a much shorter time like 20 seconds. However, I appreciate that these scenarios would probably require power management to be active which is not considered ideal for sound quality. But if it's going to be running anyway (as it appears to be currently) it would be good to be able to change the settings.

Where can I look to see what is controlling the screen?

Thanks very much for your help.

Richard

Hi,

i have an emmc card and have not notice any malfunction. However I do not know if it is a placebo effect, but I seem to hear an improvement in the sound quality

Have you tried setting it like this?

Thanks @antonellocaroli. I'll try setting power manager to autostart as you suggest.

I have tried setting it as you showed in the first screenshot. When I try to access this from the settings menu, it first tells me that power manager isn't running and do I want to start it. If I agree to start it, I get the same screenshot as you took, showing it turned off. However, something is still turning off the screen after about 10 minutes. I assume it must be running and maybe the GUI is not picking this up?

Or is there any other process that could be controlling the screen? LMS has a screensaver option but it's disabled and only dims the screen.

you have to disable ramsystem, reboot, reset ramsystem.

Configure as per my image, as you can see yours is different from mine....

you have to enable above then change the entries like mine and then disable....

I get it - thanks.

So, even though the display manager appears to be turned off it's still responding to the settings and I can't alter those whilst the ramsystem is enabled.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

have RPi4 running and set up to feed music to Ian Canada FifoPi3 and then to a Buffalo IIIpro (ES9038pro) DAC.

So what setting to use under "04. Select DAC" Ian Fifo II" ; Buffalo II/IIIse or else? Want to play different audio format up to DSD 256.

Is the RPi4 sending native DSD or DoP?
