It is scheduled to be released on August 6th. For those who are fans of Ms. Barber and in particular her album Nightclub, you will love this album. It is available this weekend only at Nativedsd.com for purchasers in the US only. It was recorded by Jim Anderson at DXD resolution at 32/352.8 and is available at 24/352.8 and many flavors of DSD. The only PCM variant available is the DXD. I would not post about it because of the later release but it is being offered this weekend so...... I was offered the 32/352.8 file which Audirvana plays as 32/192 through my Schiit Yggy. The performances and song stylings are fantastic and the sound is another Jim Anderson masterpiece. Thanks for the heads up! This album is a great return to form for Patricia Barber. Not that I disliked her last couple of experiments, but this type of small combo jazz + vocals material is what I think she does best. orresearch, AudioDoctor and JoeWhip 2 1 Link to comment

Just put it on a thumb drive and send it by FedEx overnight! Link to comment

jiminlogansquare
A new composer to me; very easy to like yet sophisticated solo piano works very well played, to my ear. The soloist also painted the CD cover art, which is unusual, and I like that, too! Link to comment

Popular Post jiminlogansquare
OK, Album of Six Evenings? Yes, it's a multi-disc set with a play time of over five hours; and no, I didn't listen to it all in one evening. I am as of now just getting started on that project! So worth the time.
