I don't reproduce the two problems...

1) did you overwrite the configuration file of upmpdcli? with etc-update?

2) does not change from 2.10 to 2.11

1) No, but I have manually set "friendlyname = UpMpd (rpi6 sala)" and "ohproductroom = UpMpd (rpi6 sala)" as I had done in 2.0

2) The problem is within 2.11. It seems that some other action (e.g. enabling upmpdcli or re-selecting a DAC) overwrites the cpufraqmax settings

I'll try to flash the image again, restart from scratch and report my findings. Thanks for your support!

the only one that overrides them and returns them to default values is "select dac".

but it's the same for both 2.10 and 2.11.

Ok, then issue 2) is resolved. I still have the problem that upmpdcli is not visible in my network in 2.11. In 2.0 it works fine and I have not tried it in 2.10.

I don't know... I'm just using it right now...

It would be interesting to see if others have the same problem...

Maybe my problem is the same.  Almost every time I restart I have to disable and then enable upmpdcli before it shows up and I am not in RAM mode.  This is with Rpi4.

@antonellocaroli, @askat1988: I have now reinstalled 2.10 from scratch, updated to 2.11 and then setup my system (included upmpdcli.conf edits) in 2.11. Everything works now as expected. It is conceivable that the upmpdcli problems that I have reported in my previous posts might have to do with the fact that, in my previous attempt, I had first set up my system in 2.10 and then updated to 2.11. It is of course possible that I had done something wrong. Here is my system info:

It's a beta version...

but if you want to try it, you have to take out the 7.9.

emerge -C logitechmediaserver-bin

and install the 8

emerge --ask logitechemediaserver-beta

thank you

this means that I will have to configure from the beginning?

I asked for a step...

emerge -C logitechmediaserver-bin

echo "media-sound/logitechmediaserver-beta logitechmediaserver-beta" >> /etc/portage/package.license/my_license

emerge --ask logitechemediaserver-beta

I have shut down ( "shutd" ) properly my RPi but then it doesn't boot up again!

Usually I have it run all the time and I it has rebooted many many times but after the shutd it doesn't work!

I do not remember exactly but 99% it was not in ramsystem mode!

As far as LMS 8.0 I decided not to install it yet!

All the best to all and stay safe (in home)!!!!!

I never turn my rpi off regularly, I've always just turned the power off and never had any problems...

You sure you weren't using the ramsystem?
if you were using the ramsystem and LMS probably doesn't start for full memory...

There´s a function made to avoid this, which is to move the lms cache.

I´ve tried version 8 of LMS and it seems to work fine...

I didn't shut down the RPi4 I use for LMS. I shut the one I use for player (3B+)

No I am not 100% sure I If I was on ramsystem or not! LMS was not enabled though!

On my RPi4 (LMS) I have moved the cache!

Great for LMS 8 I might give it a try!
