I just updated to 2.12 and I see that there is JRiver support!!!
I have a master license for jriver so I would like to experiment a bit! What are my options with it?
If I download JRiver in Gentooplayer it should be in the rpi3b+ I use as player and it will run independently OR I should install it to my rpi4 that now has only LMS enabled?
How can I configure then JRiver without a keyboard and mouse?

No, you can't on rpi, or you could, but he should fill out a lot of stuff he needs. It's more pe PC x86 with xfce.

.... you are right ....

as I told before, my configuration is to use Bubbleupnpserver and didn’t realized that, due to a recent update, Lumïn app is not working good anymore using the option to use the lumincompat parameter.
... sorry for the misunderstanding...

Hi folks,

Probably you can help me.

I have switched from pcp to gentoo since a few days now.

Since I upgraded to v 2.12 I can't access some menus in the web interface, like Execute command or settings for many players, including Squeezelite that I am using.

Message is as follows:

"Failed to load script info. Try to reload the page. Error message:

Failed to connect to the server"

Sorry if this has been adressed previously, I couldn't find the solution to this problem.

I hope you can help me.

In case it may help : I am using gentoo on a Metrum Ambre, that is a Pi3 inside.

@antonellocaroliToday I restarted the router and the system did not reconnect to the wireless. I can get an IP address through the wired interface and then I see

Yes, after turning off eth0 (192.168.178.107) I can immediately ping and ssh-connect to 192.168.178.50. But the setting is not persistent. If I shutdown the system and disconnect the wired connection, the device does not connect to the wireless anymore. In other words, I can only connect to eth0 after boot, later I can connect to wlan0 by shutting down eth0.

Hello, i just tried to update the intel microcode and during re-boot i have a message saying that "early_ucode.cpio not found" i press a key and another message saying "EFI_MEMMAP not enabled". Any opportunity to solve or should i re-install from scratch ?

Thanks

EFI_MEMMAP not enabled is normal....

early_ucode.cpio not found  is not normal

the pc starts up?

I found the problem, in versions 2.12 some paths have changed...

what does the command tell you

echo "sys-firmware/intel-microcode intel-ucode" >> /etc/portage/package.license/chrome

I face a new issue : the dac setting is not saved anymore.

I am using 44. hifiberry digi+ pro.

Either by web interface or ssh, I select it, save, then make a system info again and it is not listed, I can therefore not set it in my squeezeltie settings.

Is there a way to fix it or do I have to reflash a new gentoo ?

ps: problems seem to occur on my side when setting a ramdisk

all the settings you make in ram on reboot are lost.
The ramdisk should be used when the settings are finished.

If you are in ramsistem, exit ramsistem, do a ramdisk reset.

When changing settings and/or updates always do a ramsystem-reset

The DAC settings was lost after my configuration was done and I tried to load in ram disk.

I already removed the ramdisk and tried gp-update also but now the dac setting is not be saved anymore.

solved during a teamviewer session.

my buffer settings of squeezelite were too high, this left not enough memory for a ramdisk.
