Popular Post marce
My view on MQA as an observer over the last several years is that the evidence against it being a benefit far out way the evidence it is a benefit to audio reproduction. The added processing to unfold! the music data buried in god knows what data packaging also does not appeal to me, keeping the signal chain as simple as possible is always best. The added hardware and software overheads make DAC's more complex, again not a good thing, a complex design is always harder to get right, software being more prone to issues than hardware. Finally the industry champions of MQA have quite often been acerbic in its defence! Just my view from reading numerous threads (not only here), press announcements, videos etc. Thanks to all that have put the effort in, for the above reasons my next DAC (coming after the major roof leak, the British summer has revealed is sorted) will not have MQA. marce
That will be useful, considering we only hear to 20kHz and then only when young... Oh sorry these tracks will be for Batman and Robin to party too. Link to comment
Popular Post marce
Hmmm, maybe instead of MQA, going back to bass and treble controls might be easier...😀 Ralf11, Thuaveta, crenca and 2 others 2 1 1 1 Link to comment

Well at least the jitterbug section is in line with the signals instead of just plugged in a remote socket! A link to the thread would be appreciated. Link to comment

I mean who really gives a Rat’s Ass and who has the time to ponder and worry over ‘how many angels can sit on a head of a pin’? Happy Holidays and New Year I KNOW—bobb — don’t stick your nose where it doesn’t belong—sorry couldn’t resist or restrain myself Civility? And why should the thread be closed, there is a lot of good information... Audio claims are not carved in a stone tablet, they can and should be questioned and discussed in the light of current science, engineering acoustic knowledge and understanding of perception in a civil manner. This and another recent post on another thread, point to a underlying move to stifle any discussion, civil or otherwise that does not follow a certain formula, or more succinctly "do not question".
