My first listen of this Henryk Szeryng recording was on vinyl, during my college days in the the 1970's, played in the university music library.  I fell in love with the performance, and later in 1990s purchased CD version of it.  I was very fond of the performance.   After seeing your 24-192 reference I immediately got it and .... wow ... such a lively sound!
