I got burnt.  Thought I was settling in for a nice evening of disjointed operatic highlights with almost no need to hit next track on my player.  Every single disc from the substantial collection I picked up features talking over the orchestra throughout every track.  I'm posting one as warning to others, not to verbally pout at my dissatisfaction.

This equally local production saved the evening by being the lone disc actually producing music.  This disc predates the passing of Stephen Paulus who is featured.

Stack of album art photos I need to take is mounting.  Depiction of amateurish engineering using professional equipment to record concerts over a 5 year period in a temple will have to suffice.  At least a few performances rose above the recording techniques employed against them.

In a recent poll on tinkering Chris is always doing to maintain order.  I mentioned a best and worst case scenario for ownership of specific threads.  This and "Song Of The Day" being the ones in mind as a best case, upkeep instead of moderation, not requiring first post structure charts or other in depth summations of points presented.  Basically the ability to remove double posts and reconnect links as called for.

From a technical perspective the only improvement I can see benefiting those of us who post in here is a back end photo analysis software solution linking previous examples of an album being posted.  Not only does that seem pretty far down the road, but almost certain to become a novel feature after limited use exploring one's interests.

Anyone have thoughts on this most unnecessary attempt to fix what isn't really broken?

This Andean band originates from a small village called Atahualpa in Ecuador, South America. Ecuador Manta, based in St. Paul Minnesota, started in 1992. The group has a unique style compared to other traditional Andean bands. They have created their music style over the years by using the traditional rhythms from Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Colombia and combining them with more contemporary Latin and Caribbean rhythms.

I bought the physical copy, but see they offer free 320kbs downloads of all their recordings. (My AV blocked something on the page so here is just the album I listed.)
