Popular Post austinpop
Opening this thread as a place to discuss the promos that Qobuz offers from time to time. http://qob.uz/freemusic There's one currently offered, called Summer Music Gifts, until August 15th. blue2
It's not easy to navigate Qobuz as these offers are displayed differently in countries/regions. It seems it's best to Google 'Promotions' on your local Qobuz store e.g. Qobuz UK. austinpop 1 🎸🎶🏔️🐺 Link to comment
Musicophile
Thanks, I just "bought" the Amandine Beyer and the Charpentier. And indeed, fully free. austinpop 1 Check out my blog at musicophilesblog.com - From Keith Jarrett to Johannes Brahms Link to comment

Musicophile
Only had time to listen to the Amandine Beyer. As expected, this is well worth it particularly for $0.00... I'll check out the Charpentier in the next days. In any case, highly recommend everybody checking this out! It's really recent high res albums for free, guys. Thanks again for sharing. I sampled the Choral Masterpieces, Le Bal des Animaux, and Dixit Dominus albums, and they all sound great, even though the music is not familiar to me. Well worth the price of - what was it? - ah yes, $0.00! My Audio Setup Link to comment
Musicophile
Here’s a review of the Charpentier (not by me): https://www.audaud.com/marc-antoine-charpentier-la-descente-dorphee-aux-enfers-harmonia-mundi/ I just quickly sampled it and it sounds really promising. I’ll download the other free albums later just in case. Check out my blog at musicophilesblog.com - From Keith Jarrett to Johannes Brahms Link to comment
Musicophile
And here’s a review of the Amandine Beyer album, again not by me but I agree with the conclusion: https://www.classical-music.com/reviews/chamber/beyer-and-gli-incogniti-top-form-performances-baroque-works/ Check out my blog at musicophilesblog.com - From Keith Jarrett to Johannes Brahms Link to comment

Luckily a lot fo the discounted albums I already had, but I just clicked on buy for about €170 worth of music (actually worth much more before the 30-50% discounts, plus the beautiful Sublime discount on top). Currently downloading about 15GB of beautiful music. Everybody, please check this out. This is a really amazing selection. You can take all the four and five star reviews from my blog almost randomly and you have what feels like a 50% chance of seeing them heavily discounted. It is truly a treasure trove. sphinxsix and austinpop 1 1 Check out my blog at musicophilesblog.com - From Keith Jarrett to Johannes Brahms Link to comment
Popular Post semente
This 15 disc BIS's Sibelius "The Essential" - Osmo Vänskä at £12.79 is an unbelievable bargain, I bought the symphonies CD set used for twice that amount...https://www.qobuz.com/gb-en/album/sibelius-the-essential-timo-saarenpaa/7318591697008 sphinxsix, Musicophile and austinpop 1 2 "Science draws the wave, poetry fills it with water" Teixeira de Pascoaes HQPlayer Desktop / Mac mini → Intona 7054 → RME ADI-2 DAC FS (DSD256) Link to comment
Popular Post austinpop
I also highly recommend all the Vasily Petrenko albums on Naxos for $4.50 each, and Lars Vogt albums on Ondine for $7-8. Unbelievably good value. semente and sphinxsix 2 My Audio Setup Link to comment
Popular Post Musicophile
This is another excellent deal: Chailly’s complete 24/96 Brahms symphony cycle for €11.49 (including Sublime discount). The same 244 min / 3 “CD” box at HDtracks sells for $44. This is one of the best contemporary Brahms cycles one can buy. And well recorded. sphinxsix and AnotherSpin 1 1 Check out my blog at musicophilesblog.com - From Keith Jarrett to Johannes Brahms Link to comment
Musicophile
A word of caution for the Ondine label: if you're a sublime subscriber, the discount is only applied to the regular high-res price, not to the Sublime discounted one. I by default without watching always selected the Sublime price so I overpaid by a couple of €. (I've informed Qobuz customer support about this issue). I understand that the discounts on an already discounted Sublime price can and should be lower than the discounts on full price, but making the Sublime price more expensive than the discounted highres doesn't make any sense (and I haven't seen it occur for any other label). The answer from Qobuz customer support was basically "not our fault next time just pay better attention", worded somewhat more nicely in French. I only overspent €7.50 so no big deal in total, but given how much money I spent with them I was hoping for a bit of a more customer friendly approach. blue2 1 Check out my blog at musicophilesblog.com - From Keith Jarrett to Johannes Brahms Link to comment

austinpop
There are times I hate the Euro-centric aspect of Qobuz. The massive Qobuz-fest sale was supposed to run through Aug. 31. Well, it's still Aug 31 in the US, but the sale appears to be over, presumably because Qobuz times are all relative to Europe (France). Makes me grumpy. I had a few more albums I wanted to buy tonight. Oh well, I still gotta say — this was a great sale! Hope to see more. My Audio Setup Link to comment
