The Computer Audiophile
I guess if one can’t make money on high resolution/quality music, he writes a book about it. I have it on order :~) https://www.amazon.com/Feel-Music-Songwriters-Mission-High-Quality/dp/1948836386/ Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment
Ishmael Slapowitz
He already scored one major victory years ago...by rejecting MQA and Bob Stuarts' fakokta nonsense and going with Ayre for the Pono player. 😎 #Yoda# 1 Link to comment

Popular Post esldude
I applaud their mission. I think it might be titled mis-guided mission. Their approach via high rez, no feedback, leaky non-ringing digital filters (and considering another leaky filtered MQA) was all destined to be a failure. They believe digital is the enemy vs analog. So probably a sad tale of good intentions while being lost in the forest. Yet it might be a very good book all the same. But sometimes musicians should be musicians and let other people handle the other stuff. We all have them, it’s nothing to be ashamed about, but it is something that affects our objective evaluation of reality. Link to comment
fas42
The good news is that all music can be rescued - I've been motivated a number of times over the years to try experiments to undo the various problems that beset recordings - one example was an extremely low bit rate mp3 of a live AC/DC effort; it was remarkable how much better, say, the drums could be made to sound by upsampling, etc. That is, it's possible to go from "unlistenable to", to being a satisfying presentation. So, good enough rig, some manipulation - all's good! Link to comment
