Tonight I did something a little different. I went looking for the soundtrack to the Guardians of the Galaxy movies on Qobuz and couldn't find it. So, I did the next best thing and created it via a playlist.

 

You can listen to it as well if you want. I tried to find the best version of each of the songs, if you think there is a better one, let me know if you're so inclined. They are also in the appropriate order as they would play on Volumes 1 and 2.

Edit, it's not the soundtrack, it is Awesome Mix volume 1 and 2, which I guess is in addition to the soundtrack.

Playing this album through the house at the moment and my wife had an interesting comment on the music. She said this sounds like, if the Indigo Girls played Blues.

It is a new release on Qobuz and this is the first time I have listened to it. Not sure if I like it yet.

Guys, it's 2:43 am here, and this is my second listen through of this album tonight. It's so good, and so different, artsy without being weird, unique, and good.  Did I say it's good?

The artists name is Melanie De Blasio. The album is Lilies.

I guess it's evening here, so I can post this. Jill Barber is one of my favorite artists. She is Canadian, sings beautifully, and I adore her voice, it has a gentleness that is, to me, very appealing and beautiful. She has a good musical sensibility also. This album is in French. not knowing any French does not detract from my enjoyment of it one bit. It starts a bit pop-ish, but then you get halfway through it and it becomes a gorgeous album, highlighted by a beautiful cover of Leonard Cohen's Suzanne, in French.

I have not been using my Pass Amp much at all because I use it to power headphones and my ear just has not been up to listening to headphones, so I have been using the McIntosh receiver and speakers to listen on the few occasions when I felt up to it. Occasionally I would listen to headphones though, and slowly but surely the Pass amp has begun to sound better and better. At this point it's just gloriously sublime and likely the perfect amplifier. I used it to listen to this tonight.

Or, you can do what I did here and use an "@" symbol in front of that persons forum name to mention them. If you want to reply in general, the space to do that is all the way at the bottom of the page.

On topic: yesterday I was listening to that new Schubert release on Pentatone over and over again. I was glued to the listening chair. It was THAT good especially the Unfinished symphony. By the way, you can listen to the whole album on NativeDSD if you click on the sample play buttons. (Probably an error, but that's how it is).

She recently hit the pop charts again and I was confused so I had to google why. Apparently the show Stranger Things used Running Up That Hill in an episode and all the kids rediscovered her.
