• Chromecast Support added: You can play to any Chromecast device, or group of devices located in different parts of your home (multi-room)
• Universal Gapless playback added: you can enable the option and force gapless playback even if your UPnP device is not gapless
• Audio Scan updated: evolution of the HD Analyzer, you can now get more information on your tracks even about non Hi Res recordings
• Device-specific settings: upsampling and output settings are now automatically saved and linked to the output device
• UI update: Alphabetical shortcuts are now available
• UI update: Start view can now be changed (in settings, appearance page)
• UI update: Source list order can be edited (in settings, appearance page)
• UI update: Audio settings, 'technical player', edition tools & shortcuts have been revamped
• Login window: account login now uses the system browser to allow use of password manager for one click login

• Fix Ogg FLAC files loading

How it looks to you... Studio or Origin for you?

I have Studio.  It looks fine, All I have had time for is some testing to upnp devices like my WiiM Mini.  I have to try the gapless to chromecast.

1.4 was working fine for me. But 2.0 is really something special! It skips tracks now when playing an album. Who could ask for more?

I was finally able to "fix" this issue by uninstalling Studio and performing a new install.

What Operating System and Version?  Did you report it to Damien?

I'm running Windows 10. I don't remember the version, but it was not the betas.  I gave up reporting to Damien; I guess the guy is doing the best he can.

Never give up!!  You should see all the noise in SONOS land and how they are actually paying attention.

I am enjoying what I am hearing with 2.0. Better SQ at least to these ears.

@to all above and @bobfa and @damien78

unless my ears at 74yo deceive me the SQ with 'exclusive lock' is even better than before and is far superior to ROON and TIDAL/Qobuz from their respective apps--do y'all agree? also the cover art on my self made playlists look great 

haven't tried any of the other improvements/add ons yet

my system is very simple :

new M1 mac mini with 16GB RAM a 2 year old Schiit Yggdrasil GS and 2 year old Schiit Ragnaroh (just the amp) into pair of Legacy Audio Studio HD monitors--the Yggy always shows x4 for upsampling

I am listening with a MacBook Pro with the M1 chip feeding an Yggy LIM with a DH Labs usb c to b cable into a Spectral/SMc Audio Vandy system. Love the new build!

I've kept lots of earlier versions of A+ to go back to but since Studio came out I've found that if I resurrect an earlier version it gets updated. I've been very happy with Studio but would like to know if there is any way to keep and use earlier versions in case I don't like the new iteration.

Yes the two can live together and don't share the same database, but only one can play at the same time.

 

the two still play in win 11 and macOS Ventura.

Thanks, I'll probably download the latest version but might wait until after I upgrade from monterey on my 2017 MBP.
