Yes, any DSD input goes straight to the D/A conversion stage. Since there is only a discrete DSD DAC, PCM inputs always go through DSP. And I suspect it is in Direct DSD mode, although not documented anywhere. But: Marantz SA-12SE, Marantz SACD 30n and Marantz SA-10 are discrete ones. Currawong Posted August 3, 2023 Share Posted August 3, 2023 All Audio-gd R2R DACs have NOS settings and also have a native DSD ladder. So, the simplest thing to do for both PCM and DSD entries is put: Audio-gd R2R DACs. It'll save you having to update it every year as they change and update models.
