Let's see how long ML lasts under the new owners. I'm placing a wager it will be less than 3 months. Link to comment

esldude
Oh NO! The used the dreaded S word. Synergy, the various brands have Synergy. So they'll probably consolidate and get rid of some of them as overlapping with just too much samergy. And always keep in mind: Cognitive biases, like seeing optical illusions are a sign of a normally functioning brain. We all have them, it’s nothing to be ashamed about, but it is something that affects our objective evaluation of reality. Link to comment

As others have pointed out, it looked like ML was self-destructing with increasingly bizarre posts and hostility to his own readership via his replies to comments on his articles. Digital audio is such an exciting world - between streaming services like Spotify and Tidal, to $50 I2S DACs for raspberry pi's that sound great with audiophile Linux distributions such as Volumio (I am a contributor) and piCoreplayer, to the incredible sound quality from affordable equipment such as Schiit DACs. But ML wrote for a very old, stodgy and uninformed crowd. Couple that with his hostility in comments, the banning of people who presented a different point of view, and it's not surprising the traffic of audiostream.com was so low. It's time for some new, younger people to energize the brand and attract a new and much larger audience base. Hopefully, we won't be seeing any new postings like Herb Reichert's rant on, well, people like us here at CA! Link to comment
