Hey Guys - Don't jump all over someone for stating what he believes to be true. It's pretty confrontational to suggest someone is, "getting deeper and deeper into the notion that your knowlege (sic) of JRiver is less than definitive" when we don't totally know what view he is talking about. 

 

How about a little lenience for a fellow hobbyist who is interested in the same stuff we are?

I think you're jumping the gun. Do you know the guy who posted? Plus, it wasn't a malicious comment. Just an opinion. 

 

We still don't know if it's true because there may be some miscommunication here. This happens all the time. 

 

How about being friendly and asking someone to double check rather than telling them they aren't that smart.

Yes, miscommunication. After reading tens of thousands of posts per year for a while, I often see someone try to describe a view or something while they aren't at their computer. Usually it turns out to be a bit different once screenshots are available. The accusers usually say, "oh in that case ..." Or, the person is actually helped in the long run because they were incorrect. Telling someone they don't know what they are talking about is much more abrasive than it needs to be. If you are an abrasive person, then I guess that just you. However, I'm willing to bet you aren't. 

 

I'm just suggesting a little patience and leniency until things are actually figured out.

There are many more pros and cons to each app. I've had an idea about creating an article that lays this all out for people, but I've been short on time. I thought I had one person lined up to do it, but it fell through.

It's hard to get the full picture of a comment via the internet. I figured there was more to this than meets the eye. I don't know you to be grumpy guy :~)
