Yeah I've encountered the same thing a few times recently but with an all white image overlaying the post contents.  I think you will find if you click on the image overlay it moves out of the way and you can read the previously obscured text.  It shouldn't be there, but there's a bypass.

The dCS ad at the top of the page is really intrusive because it keeps changing every 3 seconds.  Thankfully, you can just scroll down so it doesn't drive you completely nuts.

I meant to ask can you get please get rid of these entries?  What recent change introduced them to the activity stream?

Consider it beta for now. 

I don't get it.  All it tells you is that someone reacted to some post.  It doesn't tell you that multiple people reacted to the same post.  If you want to make a customized stream of hot posts that have attracted lots of reactions, I'd like that.  But I don't want to see every single reaction.  I particularly don't want to see reactions from ignored users.

This is really getting out of hand.  On the current activity stream, the most recent 10 entries are all reactions with 8 of them from the same user.  It's meaningless.

I had the same thought.  Reputation should not count upvote/like/thanks given, only received.  I don't know what is counted currently.

Helpful - resolved a problem, helped me make a decision, gave me a good idea

Agree - concur with your opinion/recommendation

Pointless - waste of time or off topic

 

Maybe we also need a Funny button to separate out those reactions.

 

It would be really interesting to periodically see which users get the most reactions in each category.  I'm pretty sure the Pointless category would match my list of ignored users.
