jiminlogansquare
Yes, it is on TIDAL HiFi. It is at least as good as any of their previous albums. I am not a real fan of the group or Cuban cabaret music generally, but I can appreciate it. I think that if you are a fan, you will be very pleased with this recording. Link to comment
wkhanna
Thanks for sharing your impressions, jim... I only hope the sound quality (dynamic rang et.al.) is at least half of the original release. Bill Practicing Curmudgeon & Audio Snob ....just an "ON" switch, Please! Link to comment

REShaman
Buena Vista Social Club, the original release, and Lost And Found are both offered as DLs at HDtracks in 96/24 and 44.1/24 respectively. In my library, I have the CD editions, the DVD editions including their recital at Carnegie Hall. Plus CDs by the talented singer, Ibrahim Ferrer, and pianist, Rueben Gonzalez, both genius musician talents. The music of this genre is intoxicating. Compels you to dance with the one ya brung or at least move. Difficult to just sit still. The DVDs in 5.1 Dolby are highly entertaining. Enjoying the music, Richard Link to comment

In his 80s, Rubén Gonzalez is a Cuban Artur Rubenstein with technique and musicality that is stunning. Enjoy the music, Richard Link to comment
Nikhil
Listening to Lost and Found ... it's beyond me how some of these tracks did not make the original cut. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I like some on this album better than the original. Musicophile
I'm still suffering some form of PTSD from being brainwashed with the original album at every single bar and coffee shop around Europe when it came out. That said it is actually good music so I suppose I need to check out the new one as well. Check out my blog at musicophilesblog.com - From Keith Jarrett to Johannes Brahms Link to comment
wkhanna
I love the new album. It is, however, slightly more compressed than the first release. fabythom2713
Part of my cd collections is from Cuban music, everything they do is an earcandy!! Kuddos to cuban music... Ruben Gonzalez, Frank Emilio Flyn, Cachao, Lucrecia, Chaonda, Ibrahim Ferrer, Compay Segundo, Eliades Ochoa, Celia Cruz, La Sonora Matancera, Perez Prado King of Mambo, and many others. It's does not matter where you from or what kind of music or taste you have but everytime you hear this music you'll jump out the couch. Trust me. Link to comment
