Audio_ELF
^ No it's not gapless...But yes, a dedicated device (perhaps like the Oppo) is the missing link.... I was actually more thinking that computers needed a HDMI card which supported multi-channel DSD. Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment

mav52
What I meant is that DSD support only matters to those who are buying DSD downloads or ripping SACDs, which is currently a small minority of audiophiles. Bingo Maybe government regulation is required. You got to be kidding me, in the US the government can't tie it's shoes without spending a hell of a lot of money in discussions on "what will it do for my state", or I'll support it if you throw in money for a river darter fish protection program, or we can't vote on that, or let the supreme court decide . It would take years and by then technology would have changed. Manufacturers don't care, so stop buying their products until they get the message The Truth Is Out There Link to comment
