No, it may be working with the default kernel as well. You can do "uname" with "-a" argument to see which kernel you are running. (sorry, but Cloudflare is again blocking post based on what commands are written there, even though it doesn't make any sense what they decide to block) Signalyst - Developer of HQPlayer Pulse & Fidelity - Software Defined Amplifiers Link to comment
Miska
For the newer Ubuntu builds with AMD GPU support, add following steps prior to installing hqplayerd package: wget -q -O - https://repo.radeon.com/rocm/rocm.gpg.key | sudo apt-key add - echo 'deb [arch=amd64] https://repo.radeon.com/rocm/apt/debian/ xenial main' | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/rocm.list sudo apt update Signalyst - Developer of HQPlayer Pulse & Fidelity - Software Defined Amplifiers Link to comment

You need to mount it by editing /etc/fstab so that it gets mounted at boot time. Signalyst - Developer of HQPlayer Pulse & Fidelity - Software Defined Amplifiers Link to comment

Thanks If you are NOT using HQP’s digital volume control, then just set Vol Max to -3 and Vol Min -60, which are the default values. Then make sure volume control knob is turned all the way up (-3) which is full clockwise. The Vol Min is a bit arbitrary. If you do decide to use the HQP digital volume control then you will to adjust Vol Max to something like -30 or -20 in case you accidentally hit max volume you won’t blow thing up. I have desktop, not embedded but guessing there is some means of controlling the volume. Otherwise not much point in the Vol Max and Vol Min settings. Miska
Embedded has startup volume setting and volume controls available both on the front page and also through HQPlayer Client, HQPDcontrol, Roon or UPnP Control Point. Advice is given, but you would not go to a forum on how to insert a plug in a wall socket, would you?! Don't you worry Embedded is not going to explode on you! How curious are you? Link to comment
