Popular Post JoeWhip
I have started a new topic thread for this download released yesterday in 24/96. It is available also on CD and vinyl. Simply put, this is a beautiful album. The singing is superb, very sensual, romantic but without pretense. Beautiful arrangements with strings featuring the Royal Philharmonic recorded with Ms. Gardot at Abbey Road Studios. The string sound is smooth and dare I say it warm. Just the right touch and not overpowering or syrupy. The sound quality on this release is as good as the music. I have listened to the full album 4 times already. Just love the music and the sound. This is my favorite Melody Gardot Recording. Considering how it was recorded in pieces, the final result is top notch. Check it out. AudioDoctor, Bikutoru, graham and 1 other 2 2 Link to comment

Musicophile
I just wrote a review on the album. You'll find it here: https://musicophilesblog.com/2020/11/01/melody-gardots-new-album-sunset-in-the-blue-a-review-sort-of/ As you'll find, I'm not as enthusiastic as others here on the album. Let me know what you think. Check out my blog at musicophilesblog.com - From Keith Jarrett to Johannes Brahms Link to comment

botrytis
I do find the LP a bit boring, from Melody. One can't always have a homerun. PYP
I always enjoy her music, but I'm stuck on her debut album. To me, that sounds like her truest voice. Just a personal preference.
