Popular Post Bazza13
I have about 4 hours listening time on my EtherRegen and am still stunned by what it has done to my system. After treating my small 10 x 10 listening room and buying the best electronics I could afford, including a power regenerator, this is the largest difference maker I have added to my system in many years. The ISO Regen is good but pales by comparison to this switch with the standard PS. The soundstage now begins a foot back from the speakers. It is larger and better defined without any edge. Even early ripped CDs lack the "fingernails scratching a blackboard" that they had before. Bass is crazily defined and more powerful. I may need to adjust my subwoofer after the ER's break-in. I can't get over the accuracy of the snare drum and how there is a more musical and engaging sound. And to think I was worried about spending this kind of money on a switch. Now the price seems a bargain. soares, Jud, pas and 2 others 1 3 1 Link to comment
Popular Post Bazza13
Like some of you, I fought trying to make solid state electronics sound right in my system for too many decades and then I switched to modern tube based equipment. I find that the tubes in a modern single ended design minimize any glare and etch and it is fun to roll tubes to get the exact sound I like. Until inserting the EtherRegen I doubted that the sound quality could get any better but I was wrong! lpost and Ed Sky 2 Link to comment
Bazza13
In my opinion, you certainly have added much value. Thank you. Superdad 1 Link to comment
Popular Post Bazza13
Thanks for your findings Guidof. They mirror mine except for the addition of a better sense of timing and dynamics that results in my feet taping uncontrollably. Superdad and Guidof 2 Link to comment
Bazza13
Sorry to hear you couldn't make the ER work for you flkin. Over many decades I found myself in the same situation. I then purchased a tube preamp followed by all tube components in the entire system. Some people find that inserting only a tube preamp brings the bliss back. I find rolling different tubes fun. Good luck. flkin 1 Link to comment
